Course Description
This course is an introduction to the fundamental concepts of algebra. Topics include equations,
polynomial and rational functions and graphing, and exponential and logarithmic functions.
Course Objectives
Upon completing this course you will be able to :

Apply the fundamental concepts of algebraic mathematics


Solve equations and inequalities; apply mathematical models
Identify and graph polynomial, rational, and exponential functions
Find slope and determine equations of lines
Solve quadratic equations
Solve higher degree polynomial equations
Use properties of exponential and logarithmic functions to solve exponential and
logarithmic equations
