VI. Pre-Lesson Assignments and/or Prior Knowledge


The day before this lesson the children were able to explore and create their own math
problems using the cubbies and the sticks with a partner. The students were encouraged
to work together through hard problems. After this chapter started the student all took a
pre-test to see know knew anything about the tens digits.

VII. Lesson Beginning


The students will begin this lesson with a short video on how the tens digits work (C.,
2015). This will allow the students to get engaged and really for the lesson. After the
lesson, but before the worksheet the children got to play with the cubes and sticks for
one minute.

VIII. Instructional Plan


The students all will be encouraged to work alone and use the cubes and sticks in front of them
to complete this worksheet.
The children will do one problem at a time with showing the math in front of them.
After finding the correct answer they child will cut out the number and glue it to the correct
square.
If a student has finished early and their paper has been checked they then will work on page __ at
their desk until everyone is done.

IX. Conclusion
To end this topic, the children will be able to get with a partner again and create their own
problems using the materials in front of them. After this unit is done the children will take
the same test they did the first time to see the growth in their development.
