Biological inheritance or better known as Heredity is an inheritance genetic

information from the parent to the offspring. The study of heredity is called
genetics. Inheritance can be determined by the chromosomes and Gen.

Talking about inheritance is an interesting to be discussed. Many of the

questions. How does the process of inheritance to offspring? How does the
process of inheritance physical form? How can a child exist which are similar to
their parents and even grandparents, similar to?

Heredity can be determined by the chromosomes and Gen. Chromosomes are

threadlike structures in the cell nucleus that is responsible in terms of the nature
of heredity (heredity). While the gene is the smallest unit located on the
chromosome is called locus. Genes function is to deliver genetic information to
their offspring and to control growth and cell metabolism.

There are several theories that discuss the inheritance of traits offspring are:

1. Theory Embryo
This theory was proposed by Willam Harvey, 1578-1657 which states that
all animals come from eggs. This statement is reinforced by Raider de
Graff (1641-1673) first researchers who know the union of sperm cells with
egg cells. Sperm cells and eggs that will form the embryo. Rainer de Graff
states that the Ovaries in birds are the same as the Ovaries in rabbits.
2. Theory Preformation
This theory is proposed by Jan Swammerdam, 1637-1689 which states that
the egg contains all the generations that will come as a miniature that has
been formed before.
3. Theory of epigenesis
This theory is proposed by CF.Wolf, 1738-1794, which states that there is a
vital force in the body of the organism and this force causes the growth of
embryo according to the pattern of previous development.
4. Plasma Theory
This theory is proposed by J.B. Lamarck, 1744-1829 which states the
nature that occurs due to external stimuli (environments) on the structure
and function of organs that are passed on to the next generation.
5. Theory Pengenesis
This theory was proposed by C.R. Darwin 1882-1980 which states that
every part of the adult body produces small seeds called gemuaia

From the above theory, is still not clearly show the laws governing the
inheritance. Then Gregor Mendel Genetics experts conduct various experiments
on the crossing with a variety of plants to be able to draw up a law known as the
Law of mendel

Mendel made two well-known laws, Mendel's Law (Segregation Law), which
reads: That alleles will split freely from diploids into haploids at the time of
gamete formation. And Mandel II Law (The law of freedom to choose / grouping
freely), which reads: That in a marriage / crosses concerning two or more
different nature pairs, the inheritance of each pair of factors of the properties are
free themselves.
