Reflection
(Minimum of 3-4 sentences per question)
1. Briefly describe the field experience. What did you learn about technology coaching and technology leadership from completing this field
experience?

A colleague of mine was having trouble uploading screencast videos to her course webpage. She was embedding the videos, but the entire video was not
appearing on the webpage when students were trying to view the video. We worked together to trouble shoot her problem and came up with two possible
solutions to make the videos play for her students. I was able to use my experience with screen cast videos and the learning management system to assist my
colleague and provide several options for her to post her videos for her students to access.

2. How did this learning relate to the knowledge (what must you know), skills (what must you be able to do) and dispositions (attitudes, beliefs,
enthusiasm) required of a technology facilitator or technology leader? (Refer to the standards you selected above. Use the language of the PSC
standards in your answer and reflect on all 3knowledge, skills, and dispositions.)
Knowledge In order to help my colleague I had to know how embed and link videos to the learning management system. I have been using this
feature on my own webpage for a while, and I was glad I knew a few options to see what would work best for her situation.

Skills I had to help her trouble shoot the problems that she was having with her webpage. She was trying to embed video clips, but the entire
image was not appearing for her students. I was able to find her mistake and suggest two different ways that she could post her videos for her
students.

Dispositions By completing this program I have a different disposition about coaching other teachers. I never considered myself a leader or a
coach, but I now feel that I can be used to help other teachers when they experience trouble, especially with technology.

3. Describe how this field experience impacted school improvement, faculty development or student learning at your school. How can the impact be
assessed?

This field experience impacted faculty development, for both myself and the teacher that I assisted. We are both increasing our course webpages by
providing videos as resources for our students. This was one of my first times acting as a coach, even if it was for a very minor instance. We both improved
as a result of this experience. The impact can be assessed by viewing our classroom webpages on the learning management system.
