River Guide

The Texas River School takes at-risk youth and teaches them about river safety,
and how to canoe, at no cost to them or their school. Impacted over 900 children in
Austin in 2015.
I am a Trip Leader, responsible for monitoring weather and communicating with
my guides and schools prior to the trip. I am responsible for all aspects of the trip-
providing gear, snacks, education, paddle instruction, ensuring safety, and delegating
duties to my guides.

Communications Director
Generation Outdoors, Austin, Texas- April 2016- Current
Generation Outdoors is the mentorship arm of the Majesty Outdoors Foundation,
and exists to equip, serve, and mobilize faith communities in mentoring relationships with
fatherless children through the spirit of the outdoors.
My role is to facilitate communications between parents, volunteers, and mentors
as well as ensuring all volunteers and mentors have completed background checks and
sexual abuse awareness training.
