1. OBJECTIVES
In-Plant training is meant to correlate theory and actual practices in the industries.
Through this In-Plant Training:
1. Students are exposed to Industrial environment, which cannot be simulated
in the Institute.
2. Students work under factory discipline.
3. Students will be able to understand the psychology of the workers, their
habits, attitudes and approach to problems along with the practices followed
either at factory or at site.
4. Students get familiarized with various Materials, Machines, Processes,
Products and their applications along with relevant aspects of shop
management.
5. Students realize the size and scale of operations in Industry.
6. Students get opportunity to apply their knowledge in problem solving and in
Project assignment.
7. Students are able to understand relevant application oriented subjects better
in subsequent term.
8. Students understand various constraints of time and cost within which
goods are produced and services rendered in specified quantum.
9. Students appreciate need for co-ordinate effort of various persons at
different levels in different departments in achieving set goals and targets.
10.Students understand the scope, functions and job responsibility-ties in
various departments of an organization. This is a very good opportunity to
learn under a different environment, but students gain is dependent on

During the In Plant Training period, the student should try to learn different
aspects of professional industry. Following aspects whichever are applicable

4. INPLANT TRAINING REPORT
In addition to work diary (A-4 size register), you are required to submit an In
plant Training Report along with details of organization / factory, where you have received
training. You have to submit a detailed report of training in the industry incorporating study of
plant / product / process along with intensive in-depth study on any one of the topics such as
(1) Processes (2) Methods (3) Tooling (4) Equipment etc., highlighting aspects of quality,
productivity and system. Student should take notes throughout his training period and prepare
a framework in consultation with factory.

7. Format for Certification page (Second page)

8. The third page will be certificate issued by the industry regarding the completion of
training.
9. The fourth page would be for acknowledgement, which would be followed by index
page (Fifth page).
10. Sketches should be drawn on separate sheet (minimum A4 size) and be inserted at
proper places. The sketches should be drawn in black ink and be numbered.
11. Tables should preferably be typed in the text only.
12. The mathematical symbol should be typed or neatly written so as to match darkness of
the text.
13. The last item on the index should be references.
14. Students who have undergone In-Plant Training in more than one industry can bind the
report as a single copy and will attach certificate of each industry in chronological order.
15. Page number must appear on the right hand top corner of each page starting after index
page.
16. The contents of the seminar can be decided by the internal guide / department and
student.
17. Minimum number of copies = 5 Copies (Central Library + Department + Internal Guide
+ External Guide + Student). The copy of External Guide (Industry Guide) will be
submitted by the student after completion of training. The number of copies to external
guide will be proportionate to the number of industries where he/she has undergone In-
Plant Training.

We, the Employer, Apprentice, (the Guardian in the case of Minor Apprentices) and the
Surety hereby declare that we have read the contents of The Apprenticeship Contract
as per Apprenticeship Rules 1962, as amended from time to time, and agree to abide
by all the provisions made there under. We also declare that all the provisions of The
Apprentices Act 1961, as amended from time to time including those relating to
Registration and Termination of Contract are binding on us. We also understand that
training under The Apprentices Act do not guarantee a job with the employer/BOAT
after the training is completed.

With reference to our above mentioned letters and your letter no MIT/sandwich/2004-05/0182
dated 4.2.2005 we hereby approve the B.tech degree courses viz. Mechanical, Production,
Electronics and Telecommunication engg, Instrumentation and control engg, Computer science
and engg, Civil engg, Plastics and polymer engg, Agriculture engg, as sandwich courses under
the Apprentices (Amendment) Act, 1973 from the Academic year 2004-05 onwards. Further
approval is also hereby accorded for the 20 weeks apprenticeship training of the students
pursuing the above courses. The apprenticeship training under the courses viz Instrumentation
and control engg, Plastics and polymer engg shall be considered the subject fields
Instrumentation and control engg, Plastics and polymer engg respectively.
Whenever we are deputing the students for practical training during the term please issue them
certificate to be enclosed in original with the contract of apprenticeship in the format given on
the letter head of the college.

As a part of syllabi of B.tech Degree course of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University
Aurangabad, I have to undergo IPT for final term from 14/1/2013 to 01/6/2013 (minimum 20 weeks or
more).
During IPT I undertake to follow rules and regulations stated below:
1. I will submit a joining report in the prescribed form, duly countersigned by the Officer of the
Organization where I am assigned to undergo IPT.
2. I will be entirely under the disciplinary control of the organization where I am placed and will
abide by the rules and regulations of the said organization.
3. I will be entitled for leave during training period as per rules laid down by the organization /
apprentice act. Before proceeding on leave I will take prior permission from the authorities.
4. I will submit timely all the reports duly filled in and countersigned by the Officer of the
Organization to the institute as mentioned in the instruction manual.
5. I am aware that my part-II term of final year will be granted if and only if: a) I attend training in
allotted organization/industry on their all working days b) Undergo training to the satisfaction of
In-charge officers and guide (faculty member) from institute c) On successful completion of
training.
6. I will follow the stipulated term of training programme.
7. I hereby undertake that, the institute will not be responsible for any mishap / accident during the
training period and also for my any act contrary to law.

training for the prescribed training period.

website and obey all the rules and regulations of apprentice act as mentioned.
