Reported pain

Both the double histogram and the double box plot display that there are many patients that have a
great amount of initial pain. This comparison is backed by the exponential amount of people with
the range of pain at the maximum of 10. Interesting differences are there are more with less pain
initially on placebos of seven and eights. Theyre similar because there is only a 1.0069%
difference in the mean and a 33% in the range.

Reported pain

As seen both the double histogram and box plot show a great difference visually due to
differences in the data recorded. There were far more people who displayed little to no difference
in pain when the placebo was used as shown in the higher bars in the double histogram and the
low box in the double box plot. The mean and range were far greater in the active magnet with 2
times greater range and a near 60% difference in the mean. This change in both modes shows that
the active magnet exerted more change and therefore more pain relief. Magnets do help in
accelerating the pain relief process.
This double blind study is a beautiful example of how testing can bear some great,

readable results. Having a double blind study made it so there were no biases from

everyone whom was in contact with the test themselves making this a very well filtered

test. The differences between the groups that got the active magnets and the one that

received placebos was sample size difference displaying more active magnets than

placebos that may have skewed results visually.

Though there were many participants that felt their pain had decreased over time

there is still many whom hadnt displayed any changes in pain on both sides. This could

be a result in the pain already being so severe that there could be no felt changes.

Conversely, many could have believed that there was change happening beforehand even

if they received the placebo resulting in the placebo effect itself.

Throughout the test even though there were a few discrepancies with sample size

and biases it was a very well composed test with real visible results. The most

distinguished was the prominence of the change in pain relief as compared from the

placebo to the active magnet. With the range twice as much and the mean being a definite

different number there were some great indications supporting the change in the active

magnets as a source of pain relief.

This study demonstrates that with the right setup and foresight to connect two

correlated disciplines one can achieve advances to better the lives of many. With creative

thought strengthened by critical thinking obtained by a solid multifaceted education, this

leadership style of thinking is easily obtainable to those who seek it. Utilizing what you

have at your disposal be it your mind, situation, or physical environment there is much to

be achieved.
