Dear Mogpog

A five-act play to be presented on May 12, 2017 as one of the preludes of the 210th Towns
Founding Anniversary, concept design by Mr. Bernard M. Luisaga, directed by Mrs. Rosalinda
M. Castro, with Ms. Verona Go as assistant director the final showcase of the Workshop
participated by 48 Mogpog Youths last April 21-23, 2017, facilitated by Mr. Gerhard
Krysstopher Pagunsan, Ms. Alex Reyes, and Mr. JP Basco sponsored by the Municipality of
Mogpog Sining at Kulturang Mogpogueo.

Synopsis

OPENING PROD. - 5-minute Creative rendition of How Far Ill Go, a song from
the 2016 animated feature film, Moana. The lyrics are derived from
the first paragraph and chorus of the Mogpog Hymn, re-crafted
carefully to adapt to the message of the production.

ACT 1 (Lolas Book) - 10-minute Creative narration of Mogpogs historical


background

ACT 2 (Lovers Tale) - 15-minute Song dance - drama presentation of:


1. Harana
2. Pamanhikan
3. Pateado
4. Romantic Interpretive Dance

TRANSITORY PROD - 5-minute Intepretation of Tala by Sarah G, in her 2015 Album,


The Great Unknown, nominated Awit Award for Song of the Year,
and awarded Myx Music Award for Favorite Music Video, Myx
Music Award for Favorite Song - Lyrics are derived from the second
verse and chorus of the Mogpog Hymn, re-crafted carefully to adapt
to the prod.

ACT 3 (The Family) - Miguel, Ofelia, Lola Goring, Peter, Omir and G-ann represent
the typical Mogpog family whom, in spite of the many challenges of
daily life find happiness in their own true home Mogpog (20
minutes)

ACT 4 (The Society) - Mogpog belongs to the wider world, which is daily bombarded
by social conflicts. Hear their sentiments as they cry loudly against
discrimination, mining, proliferation of illegal drugs, improper waste
segregation, human vices and gambling and corruption (20 minutes)

ACT 5 (The Prayer) - All under God! Creative expression of praying people asking
Gods providence. (3 minutes)

CLOSING PROD - 5-minute Creative Rendition of Les Miserables Do you Hear


the People Sing? Lyrics are derived from the third verse
and chorus of the Mogpog Hymn, re-crafted carefully to adapt to the
prod.
