Assessment Evidence/Artifacts of Learning


Formative (Pre) Assessment - Describe your method(s). What questions will you ask? What types of tasks
will you ask them to demonstrate?
Student will fill out a questionnaire as well as give insight into what they would like to get out of this class and any interests they have about the class.
Questions will range from: have you ever used fitness concepts before? What would you like to get out of this class? Why is staying in shape important to
you? What can you get from being physically active?
Summative (Post) Assessment Performance Tasks - Describe your method(s). What types of tasks will
you ask them to demonstrate?
Students will have a choice to pick either three resistance training exercises or three yoga poses and teach to the class. They must provide exit slips or
homework assignments for their classmates and explain how these exercises will help you to be physically fit during your life.

Suggested Enrichment Activities:


Students will participate in a fitness concept project where they will create an exercise regimen, to include the fitness concepts, for themselves and log
information weekly. They will write explaining how they felt before and after the week, what they ate and how many times they worked out and
describing what exercises they did.
