Part II: Reflection

CANDIDATE REFLECTIONS:
(Minimum of 3-4 sentences per question)

1. Briefly describe the field experience. What did you learn about technology facilitation and
leadership from completing this field experience?
I developed and implemented a one hour workshop that addressed how to use an online grammar
checker called Grammarly. I learned that it takes a lot of work to develop and implement a
workshop. However, it is very rewarding at the end to see the teachers/coworkers you work with
so excited and ready to go back to their classrooms to implement this technology!! I also learned
that I am a good technology facilitator and leader for my school. There are things I need to work
on. Hopefully with time and more experience I will overcome these minor weaknesses.

2. How did this learning relate to the knowledge (what must you know), skills (what must you
be able to do) and dispositions (attitudes, beliefs, enthusiasm) required of a technology
facilitator or technology leader? (Refer to the standards you selected in Part I. Use the
language of the PSC standards in your answer and reflect on all 3knowledge, skills, and
dispositions.)
The technology leader/facilitator must know how to differentiate and what free technology
applications can increase student achievement while also differentiating instruction for each
student. The technology leader/facilitator will need to research technology strategies for
differentiation. It is a positive technology tool for both teachers and students. I was able to develop
and implement an hour long workshop with the information that I found. The technology
leader/facilitator should have an infectious positive attitude about technology, belief and show the
confidence that the technology will work for the teacher/students, and most of all show how
enthusiastic you are about the awesome free technology that you can use to differentiate.

3. Describe how this field experience impacted school improvement, faculty development or
student learning at your school. How can the impact be assessed?
Increase student achievement and making sure that instruction is differentiated for the students
according to their learning style is our main goals at Center. This workshop focused on both.
Including free technology was an added bonus.
