Day 10

Damneon Saduak

Damnoen Saduak is a district in

western Thailand in the province
Ratchaburi. The central town is
most famous because of its
floating market held every day
till noon on a khlong not far from
the district office.

Mae klong Train Market

The Maeklong Train Market is a most unusual market because a train passes through
the market four times a day. A
charming little warning bell goes
off over the speaker system just a
few minutes before the train
comes. Within a few minutes of
receiving the warning, vendors
pull back their specially designed
awnings before the train comes,
sometimes only moments before.
Thats why the market is locally
known as the Talat Rom Hoop
which translates into Market
Umbrella Close.
Day 11

Unesco World Heritage site of Ayutthaya

Ayutthaya Historical Park covers the ruins of the old city of

Ayutthaya, Thailand. The city of Ayutthaya was founded by
King Ramathibodi I in 1351. The city was captured by the
Burmese in 1569.

Bang Pa In Summer Palace

The park comprises several iconic buildings dotted

around a large park and renting an electric cart is a good
way to get around, especially on hot days. Coming all the
way from Bangkok just for the palace might not be worth
the trip but it is a great stop on the way to Ayutthaya.

Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon

Wat Yai Chai Mongkol (or Mongkhon) is located a

few kilometers southeast of Ayutthaya (island).
You'll have to cross the Pridithamrong bridge out of
the city. It obviously is one of the major temples in
the Ayutthaya area, and both tourists and local
worshippers visit the wat. Logistically, visiting this
temple can be well combined with a visit to Wat
Phanan Choeng (open till 5 P.M.).
Platinum Mall

The Platinum Fashion Mall is a 5 billion baht

shopping mall in Pratunam, Bangkok, Thailand,
which specializes in fashion clothes and
accessories retail and wholesale.
