Title:

A STUDY ON EMPLOYEE MORALE

Employee morale describes the overall outlook, attitude, satisfaction, and confidence that
employees feel at work. When employees are positive about their work environment and
believe that they can meet their most important career and vocational needs at work,
employee morale is positive or high. Like employee motivation, you cant give an employee
positive morale. As an employer, though, you do control large components of the
environment in which employees work each day. Consequently, you are a powerful
contributor to whether an employees morale is positive or negative.

Need for the study:


Provides information about the performance ranks, basis on which decision regarding
salary fixation, confirmation, promotion, transfer and demotion are taken.
Provide feedback information about the level of achievement and behaviour of subordinate
this information helps to review the performance of the subordinate, rectifying
performance deficiencies and to set new standards of work, if necessary.
Provide information to diagnose deficiency in employee regarding skill, knowledge,
determine training and developmental needs and to prescribe the means for employee
growth provides information for correcting placement

Objectives:

To study the morale level of employees of the xxxxxx


To study the factors which affect the morale level of employees.
To study the level of satisfaction of employees.
To study the effect of morale on the productivity and efficiency of employees.
To study the strategies to improve the morale of employees.

To know and understand about the employee morale and suggest measure to increase

To find out whether the employee of xxxxxxx expecting monetary benefits for the
morale boosting.

Scope of the study:

The scope of the research is very vast; however, the total time period available was very
limited for the purpose of the study observation, analysis and conclusion. Second important
thing is on account of ethical and moral obligation of a manager disclosure of all pertained
and particular policies has got limitation because of his positional accountability and
responsibility, Studying organization effectiveness through Human Resources
Management of the employee as specialized subject restrict a training, recruitment and
selection, job analysis, performance appraisal for entering into Human Resources
Management of different parameter as well as view of the company. The finding of the study
can be refried to as a reference for entire organizational policies, parameter and particles.

Methodology:

Simple random sampling method is used in the present study. Nearly 40 samples were
collected. A questionnaire of 25 questions was prepared and data were collected from the
employees of xxxxxx Pvt Ltd. Bangalore. Appropriate statistical tool such as Correlation
Coefficient and Percentage method, Bar Charts, Pie Charts etc were used to analyse the data.

Sampling:

The basic idea of sampling is that by selecting some of the sample from the population,
researcher may draw conclusions about the sample study and generalize for entire population.
A population element is the individual participant or object on which the measurement is
taken. Population Size All the employees of xxxxxx

Sample Size:

Sample size is a part of target population, carefully selected to represent the population. Here
in this research study the Sampling size is 50

Sampling Technique

After taken it to consider the limitations of this research study the researcher has used the
Non Probabilistic convenience sampling

Data Collection:

In the preparation of this report, the researcher the data from different sources. The sources of
data as follows:

Primary data: This data is gathered from first-hand information sources by the researcher,
this data collection from employees, managers, clerks etc., by administrating the
questionnaire having face to face interaction with employees.
Secondary data: This will give the theoretical basis required for the report presentation
which can be available from various sources such as magazines, office files, inter office
manual and web site.

Plan of Analysis

Data collected through questionnaire were tabulated and each question was dealt
separately.
Graphs and Charts were made to make it easier to understand.
