Observation Notes:
You did a great job Kristi! It was fun to see you teach
a big group full of students and handle yourself so
well! You showed that you were on top of the kids and
the concepts being taught!
- students were following along with a rebus social
studies story. Nice job reminding them about
following along with pencil/finger.
- map of US worked well to show Michigan and
Wisconsin
-like the comparison of Broadway Show to Beauty and
the Beast- definitely familiar to them!
- I heard many positive interactions with
students..great job putting name on paper
thumbs up if youd like almond beans give me
thumbs up if picture goes with the story lose free
time if you cant stay with me be nice, it is
important to be polite I like the way you are with it
today
- knock knock joke! Reading it together was perfect!
-last page was a choice page.students got to make
choice (s)
- also worked on phonics page with beginning
sounds.p,l,br This skill was hard for them..if have
trouble talking or hearing, phonics is very difficult!
Glad you had them work in small groups this time!

Observation Suggestions
- make connections whenever possible..mitten of
Michigan, Lake Michigan, dunes at lake, lighthouse
- hope you get a chance to show them segment of a
Broadway Hit Make that term meaningful!!!-
- could use computer or hover cam for group work-
easy to have them follow along! Also, could
constantly refer back to skill- is it a p, l or br- just
point to reference on board

What a fun group of kids- perfect placement for you!!

Enjoy your full time teaching! Thanks for letting me
observe! JStegink
