Vuotto and Ciccone not only discuss the overall topic of mental illness versus the
death penalty, but they also use a specific case to return back to for explanations
and examples. Eval: This can be a very helpful source as it gives the reader or
researcher the ability to use a real case study to refer to as well as fully understand
the concept and the discussion as to where the author is coming from. Compared
to other sources in regards to this topic, this article breaks down each different
section within; case study, rulings, reasoning, and discussion. This not only breaks
down everything for the researcher, but it also breaks it down for the researchers
eventual readers. The importance of the case and ruling are discussed within the
reasoning. With the discussion section, the author discusses personal opinions as
well as opinions of those around the world. This is a very reliable source as the
source gives information regarding the authors and it is also from the American
Academy of Psychiatry and the Law where information is unable to be posted if
unreliable. The goal of this source is to break down a certain case into the
worldwide discussion of mental illness versus the death penalty. The source
provides enough unbiased information for the researcher and reader to make their
own decision regarding mental illness and the death penalty.

This composition allows a reader and even a researcher to have the ability to look
at two sides of the argument of mental illness versus the death penalty. Unlike
some other topics, the topic of mental illness versus death penalty should stay
unbiased due to the seriousness of the situation (ie: the ability to take someones
life away). This source is very unbiased in the fact that it goes through the
thinking of the rulings as well as discussing what could be fixed with the decision.
