Begins Friday, April 28th, 2017

Instructions: pray the opening prayers, the prayer for that day, the daily rosary for that day, and finish with the
closing prayers.

Opening Prayers:

Sign of the Cross

Lord Jesus Christ, You have destroyed the power of death and given the hope of eternal life for body and
soul. You granted your Mother a special place in your glory, and did not allow decay to touch her body. As we
rejoice in the Assumption of Mary, to whom France was consecrated as Our Lady of the Assumption, grant
us renewed confidence in the victory of life over death. Amen.

Faithful servant of God and invincible martyr, Saint Joan; favored by God with the gift of faith, and inflamed
with an ardent love of Christ, thou didst fight valiantly against the darkness of pride, falsehood, and deceit.
Neither pain nor torture, flames nor death could part thee from the love of Christ. We fervently implore thee
for the sake of this love to help France and all her people by thy intercession to overcome the temptations
that surround Her, and to bear bravely the trials that oppress Her, so that She may patiently carry the cross
which is placed upon Her; and let neither distress nor difficulties separate Her and Her people from the love
of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Valiant champion of the Faith, assist France and Her people in this combat against
evil, that they may win the crown promised to them that persevere unto the end.

O Little Therese of the Child Jesus, Please pick for us a rose from the heavenly garden and send it to France
as a message of love.

O Little Flower of Jesus, ask God to grant the favors we now place with confidence in your hands unto
France and Her people in this time of trial.

St. Therese, help the people of France to always believe as you did, in God's great love for them and us, so
that we all may imitate your "Little Way" each day.

Day 1

Immaculate Virgin, Mother of Jesus and our Mother, we believe in your triumphant assumption into heaven
where the angels and saints acclaim you as Queen of Heaven and earth.

We join them in praising you and bless the Lord who raised you above all creatures. With them we honor you.

We are confident that you watch over our daily lives and we ask that you intercede for us now.

Deliver France, Her people, and ourselves from the evils that assail us.

We are comforted by our faith in the coming Resurrection and we look to you for prayers and comfort.

After this earthly life, show us Jesus, the blessed fruit of your womb, O kind, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.

O Queen Assumed into Heaven, pray for us.

Amen.
Saint Joan of Arc, patron of France, we ask you now to fight this battle with us by prayer, just as you led your
troops to victory in battle. You, who were filled with the Holy Spirit and chosen by God, intercede for France
and Her people this day with the favor we ask, that they might be victorious along their path to salvation and
defended against the principalities, against the powers, against the world rulers of this present darkness,
against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Grant them and us by your divine and
powerful intercession, the courage and strength we need to endure this constant fight. Oh St. Joan, help us to
be victorious in the tasks God presents to us.

We thank you, and ask you for your continuing protection of God's people.

Saint Joan, Pious daughter of the church; Pray for us.

O Thrse of the Child Jesus, well beloved and full of charity, in union with you, we reverently adore the
majesty of God, and since we rejoice with exceeding joy in the singular gifts of grace bestowed upon you
during your life, and your gifts of glory after death, we give Him deepest thanks for them; we beseech you
with all my hearts devotion to be pleased to obtain for us the full renewal of the light of charity in the hearts of
all the French people. But if what we ask of you so earnestly does not tend to the glory of God and the
greater good of our souls, do you, we pray, obtain for us that which is more profitable to both these ends.
Amen.

St. Therese of the Child Jesus, pray for us.

Pray the five decades of the daily rosary

Day 2

Mary, Assumed into Heaven, we venerate you as the Queen of Heaven and earth, particularly France.

As you tasted the bitterness of pain and sorrow with your Son on earth, you now enjoy eternal bliss with Him
in Heaven.

Loving Queen, intercede for us in our needs.

Deliver France, Her people, and ourselves from the evils that assail us.

We praise Jesus for giving us such a loving mother.

O Queen Assumed into Heaven, pray for us.

Amen.

Sweet Saint Joan, plead for us before the throne of almighty God that we may be deemed worthy to be
granted the request we have asked. Help us, Saint Joan, to be more like you in the attempt to love the Lord
with all our hearts, souls, and minds. Through your guidance and prayer, help France, Her people, and us to
be truly devout and loving Christians, that we may both know and see the will of God. Help us now St. Joan,
in our time of great need. We ask that you may always be near France and Her people, guiding them closer
each day to Jesus. Thank you Saint Joan for having heard our prayer.

Saint Joan, Sent by God; Pray for us.

Almighty God, giver of all good gifts, who did will that Blessed Therese, being watered by the heavenly dew
of your guiding grace, should bloom in Carmel with the beauty of virginity and patience in suffering, grant that
the French people and us, all your servants, may go forward in the order of her sweetness and may be found
worthy to become a devoted and loyal followers of Christ. Amen.

Day 3

O Mother, Assumed into Heaven, because you shared in all the mysteries of our Redemption here below,
Jesus has crowned you with glory.

With your most glorious and powerful intercession, help us O loving Mother, and present to Jesus our
request.

Deliver France, Her people, and ourselves from the evils that assail us.

O Queen assumed into Heaven, pray for us.

Amen.

Beloved Saint Joan, you faced three trials in your life. The first a man claimed you were betrothed to him, the
second at Poitiers, and the third at Rouen. In each trial you waited on God's spirit to place on your tongue the
right things to say in your defense. The first you defended your betrothal to your Lord Jesus Christ. The
second you confirmed your purity with eloquence that amazed your questioners. The third you baffled the
learned councilors sent to try you and gave further proof of your purity with prophetic utterance. We pray for
France, Her leaders, Her people, and ourselves to be that pure of heart, that each of our words will be those
placed there by the Holy Spirit.

Saint Joan, Compliant to the call of God; pray for us.

O Therese of the Child Jesus, lily of purity, ornament and glory of Carmel, we greet you, great saint, seraph
of divine love. We rejoice in the favours our Lord so liberally bestowed on you. In humility and confidence, we
ask you to help France and Her people, for we know God has given you love and pity as well as power. Tell
Him, now, we beseech you, of the favour we seek in this novena, that all of France may be rekindled in the
fiery ardour of divine love. Your request will crown our petition with success and bring joy to ours hearts.
Remember your promise to do good here on earth. I shall spend my heaven doing good on the Earth After
death I shall let fall a shower of roses.

St. Therese of the Child Jesus, pray for us.

Pray the five decades of the daily rosary

Day 4

O Dearest Mother Mary, Assumed into Heaven, God placed you at His right hand that you may intercede for
his little ones as the Mother of God.

In the midst of all the saints you stand as their Queen and ours dearer to the Heart of God than any
creation. You pray for your children and grant us every grace won by our loving Savior on the Cross.

Please intercede for us in our needs and ask Jesus to grant our request if it be for the good of our souls.

Deliver France, Her people, and ourselves from the evils that assail us.

O Queen Assumed into Heaven, pray for us.

Amen.
St. Joan, in the face of your enemies, in the face of harassment, ridicule, and doubt, you held firm in your
faith. Even in your abandonment, alone and without friends, you held firm in your faith. Even as you faced
your own mortality, you held firm in your faith. We pray that all the faithful may be as bold in our beliefs as
you, St. Joan, particularly the French people in this their hour of need. We ask that you ride alongside them
and us in all our own battles. Help us be mindful that what is worthwhile can be won when we persist. Help us
hold firm in our faith. Help us believe in our abilities to act well and wisely. Amen

Saint Joan, One with God in action; Pray for us.

O Little Flower of Jesus, who at an early age had your heart set on Carmel and in your brief earthly life did
become the mirror of angelic purity, of courageous love and of whole hearted surrender to Almighty God, turn
your eyes of mercy upon us who trust in you. Obtain for us the favour we seek in this novena, that France
and all Her people might once again submit themselves entirely to the will of Almighty God, and the grace to
keep their hearts and minds, as well as ours, pure and clean. O dear saint, grant the people of France to feel
in every need the power of your intercession; help to comfort them and us in all the bitterness of this life and
especially at its end, that we all may be worthy to share eternal happiness with you in heaven. Amen.

St. Therese of the Child Jesus, pray for us.

Pray the five decades of the daily rosary

Day 5

O merciful and loving Mother, may your glorious beauty fill our hearts with a distaste for earthly things and an
ardent longing for the joys of Heaven.

May your merciful eyes glance down upon our struggles and our weakness in this vale of tears.

Hear then loving Mother, our request and plead to Jesus for us.

Deliver France, Her people, and ourselves from the evils that assail us.

Crown us with the pure robe of innocence and grace here, and with immortality and glory in Heaven.

O Queen Assumed into Heaven, pray for us.

Amen.

St. Joan, in following God's commands, served her countrymen who had been oppressed by the English. Her
cause lead her into battle where she continued to honor God by encouraging purity and morality from her
fellow soldiers. St. Joan fulfilled God's mission through justice--the moral virtue that consists in the constant
and firm will to give their due to God and neighbor; establishing harmony that promotes equity with regard to
persons and to the common good. She, by honoring God's commandments, fulfills his foremost law: love.

Saint Joan, your example both by word and life was LET GOD BE FIRST SERVED. We pray that this, your
example, may too be adopted in zeal by all the French, as well as us here who pray, for the greater glory of
God and the good of all His people.

Saint Joan, Patriot in the service to your God and country; Pray for us.

O Little Flower of Carmel, Almighty God endowed you, consumed by love for him, with wondrous spiritual
strength to follow the way of perfection during the days of your short life. Sickness touched you early but you
remained firm in faith and prayer was your life. O pray for us, that we may benefit by your intercession and be
granted the favour we ask in this novena, that France, Her people, and ourselves may be delivered from the
evils that assail us.

St. Therese of the Child Jesus, pray for us.

Pray the five decades of the daily rosary

Day 6

Mary, our dear Mother and mighty Queen, take and receive our poor hearts with all their freedom and
desires, all the love and all the virtues and graces with which they may be adorned.

All we are and all we might be, all we have and hold in the order of nature as well as of grace, we have
received from God through your loving intercession.

Help us dear Mother to surrender to God all that we have, including our petitions.

Deliver France, Her people, and ourselves from the evils that assail us.

Our Lady and Queen, into your gentle hands, we entrust all, especially the nation of France, that Her people
and ourselves may be returned to our noble origin.

O Queen Assumed into Heaven, pray for us.

Amen.

St. Joan, inspire the French people, their leaders, and ourselves from this hour forth to accept God's will
unquestioningly, just as you did when obeying the saintly voices of His messengers in the fields of Domremy.

"St. Joan heard and listened to the Voice of God through Saints Catherine, Marguerite, and Michael. She has
said that she first heard the voices while a child in her birthplace, Domremy. St. Joan had complete faith in
her messengers' commands and brought them to fruition, despite great opposition.

Pray for us all to be compassionate, serving God by serving those who are down trodden and poor in spirit.
Obtain for us the strength and courage to defend God's mission of love and justice and to lead by the
example of piety, truth, forgiveness, and faith unwavering.

Saint Joan, Chosen by God at Domremy, France ; Pray for us.

O Little Flower of Jesus, you have shown yourself so powerful in your intercession, so tender and
compassionate toward those who honour you and invoke you in suffering and distress, that we kneel at your
feet with perfect confidence and beseech you most humbly and earnestly to take France and Her people
under your protection in their present necessity and obtain for them the renewal of their unshakeable trust in
God, the Father Almighty, His only begotten Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit Who proceeds
from the Father through the Son, Who abides within the hearts of the faithful and from thence bursts outward
with the flames of His love. Vouchsafe to recommend our request to Mary, the merciful Queen of Heaven,
that she may plead our cause with you before the throne of Jesus, her divine Son. Cease not to intercede for
us until our request is granted.

St. Therese of the Child Jesus, pray for us.

Pray the five decades of the daily rosary

Day 7
Mary, Queen of every heart, accept all that we are and bind us to Jesus with the bonds of love so that we
may be yours forever and may be able to say in all truth:

I belong to Jesus through Mary.

Our Mother, Assumed into Heaven and Queen of the Universe, ever-Virgin Mother of God, obtain for us what
we ask, if it be for the glory of God and the good of our souls.

Deliver France, Her people, and ourselves from the evils that assail us.

Our Mother, assumed into Heaven, we love you. Give us a greater love for Jesus and for you.

O Queen Assumed into Heaven, pray for us.

Amen.

St. Joan exhibited the virtue of chastity during her life. She vowed virginity for as long as it would please God.
In being chaste, a virtue that let her love with an upright and undivided heart, she also achieved purity of
intention seeking to fulfill God's will in everything, purity of vision refusing complicity in impure thoughts that
turn us aside from God's path, and purity of heart "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God".

Saint Joan, Virgin warrior; Pray for us.

Therese of the Child Jesus, most loving Saint, in union with you we adore the divine Majesty. Our hearts are
filled with joy at the remembrance of the marvellous favours with which God blessed your life on earth and of
the great glory that came to you after death. In union with you, we praise God, and offer him our humble
tribute of thanksgiving. We implore you to obtain for us, through your powerful intercession, the greatest of all
blessings -- that of living and dying in the state of grace. We also beg of you to secure for me the special
favour we seek in this novena, that France, Her people, and ourselves may be delivered from the evils that
assail us.

St. Therese of the Child Jesus, pray for us.

Pray the five decades of the daily rosary

Day 8

Mary, Queen Assumed into Heaven, we rejoice that you are the Queen of Heaven and Earth. You have given
your holy fiat to God and became the Mother of our Savior.

Obtain peace and salvation for us through your prayers, for you have given birth to Christ our Lord, the Savior
of all mankind.

Intercede for us and bring our petitions before the Throne of God.

Deliver France, Her people, and ourselves from the evils that assail us.

Through your prayers, may our souls be filled with an intense desire to be like you, a humble vessel of the
Holy Spirit and a servant of the Almighty God.

Pray for us, O Queen Assumed into Heaven, pray for us.

Amen.
The trial judges when asked if she was in God's grace. Joan's response was: "If I am not, may it please God
to put me in it; if I am, may it please God to keep me there." Her reply adhered to Catholic doctrine that grace
escapes our experience and cannot be known except by faith, that we cannot rely on our feelings or our
works to conclude that we are justified and saved. (Catechism 2005). There is also a reference to her
response to her examiners in Poitiers when questioned about the need for soldiers in fulfilling God's will to
deliver France : "In God's name! The soldiers will fight, and God will give the victory!" Each of us can view
ourselves as soldiers in a lifelong battle to fulfill God's will, to overcome the evils of this world. It is our duty as
His children to devote our lives to the glory of His Kingdom.

Saint Joan, your example both by word and life was LET GOD BE FIRST SERVED. We pray that this, your
example, may too be adopted in zeal by all the French, as well as us here who pray, for the greater glory of
God and the good of all His people.

Saint Joan, Heroic and valiant before your judges; Pray for us.

O glorious St. Therese, who, burning with the desire of increasing the glory of God, invariably attended to the
sanctification of your soul by the constant practice of prayer and charity so that, becoming in the Church a
model of holiness, you are now in Heaven the protector of all those who have recourse to you in faith, look
down upon us who invokes your powerful patronage and join your petition to ours that I be granted the favour
I seek in this novena, that the people of France, as well as ourselves, may search with fidelity for that which
truly pleases God.

St. Therese of the Child Jesus, pray for us.

Pray the five decades of the daily rosary

Day 9

O Blessed Mother Assumed into Heaven, after years of heroic martyrdom on earth, we rejoice that you have
at last been taken to the throne prepared for you in Heaven by the Holy Trinity.

Lift our hearts with you in the glory of your Assumption above the dreadful touch of sin and impurity.

Teach us how small earth becomes when viewed from heaven. Make us realize that death is the triumphant
gate through which we shall pass to your Son and that someday our bodies shall rejoin our souls in the
unending bliss of heaven.

From this earth, which we tread as pilgrims, we look to you for help.

In honor of your Assumption into Heaven, we ask for this favor:

Deliver France, Her people, and ourselves from the evils that assail us.

At the hour of our death, lead us safely to the presence of Jesus to enjoy the vision of God for all eternity
together with you.

Pray for us O Queen Assumed into Heaven, pray for us, that we may be made worthy of the promises of
Christ.

Amen.

Valiant St. Joan, Maid of Orleans, to you we offer this prayer in hope that you may guide France, Her people,
and ourselves in the virtues of courage, patience, leadership, and trust in God's will. Inspire us all from this
hour forth to accept God's will unquestioningly, just as you did when obeying the saintly voices of His
messengers in the fields of Domremy.

Pray for us to be compassionate, serving God by serving those who are downtrodden and poor in spirit.
Obtain for us and the French people the strength and courage to defend God's mission of love and justice
and to lead by the example of piety, truth, forgiveness, and faith unwavering.

Come to our aid as we pray ardently for God's mercy, remembering to forgive others, even in these times of
persecution. Dauntless Warrior Saint, beseech Our Heavenly Father, in honor of His Holy Passion, to grant
us all the courage to speak truth in the face of adversity and the initiative to step forth in spiritual battle for
Him.

O chaste and steadfast Maid, galvanize our spirits that we may strive in each moment to be placed in God's
grace. And may France and Her people recall that, like you in battle, they are to be soldiers for the Lord in
this life, for it is He who shall give victory.

Saint Joan; Apostle of God; Pray for us that we may become worthy of the promises of our Savior Jesus
Christ.

O St. Therese, seraphic virgin, beloved spouse of our Crucified Lord, you who on earth did burn with a love
so intense toward your God and my God, and now glow with a bright and purer flame in paradise, obtain for
us, we beseech you, a spark of that same holy fire which shall help France, Her people, and ourselves to put
things of the world in their proper place and live our lives always conscious of the presence of God. As we
conclude our novena, we also beg of you to secure for us the special favour we seek at this time, that France,
Her people, and ourselves may be delivered from the evils that assail us.

St. Thrse of the Child Jesus, pray for us.

Pray the five decades of the daily rosary

Closing Prayers:

Majestic Queen of Heaven and Mistress of the Angels, you received from God the power and command to
crush the head of satan. Therefore, we humbly beg of you, send forth the legions of Heaven, that under your
command they may seek out all evil spirits, engage them everywhere in battle, curb their pride, and hurl them
back into the pit of hell. Who is like unto God?

With firm confidence we present ourselves before you, our most loving Mother, afflicted and troubled as we
are, and we beg you to let us understand the love you have for us by granting this petition, if it is according to
the Will of God and profitable for our salvation: that France, Her people, and ourselves may be delivered from
the evils that assail us.

Good and tender Mother, you shall ever be our hope and the object of our love. Mother of God, send forth the
Holy Angels to defend us and drive far from us the cruel foe.

Holy Angels and Archangels, defend and keep us.

Amen

Beloved Saint Joan, you whose faith was so steadfast, and lover of the Eucharist. Apostle and Prophet of
God, armed only with your faith, went forth and changed hearts, and by your own example inspired others to
faith and saved France and Her remote generations from ruin. We pray that you will petition God to grant the
intention of this Novena, that France and Her people may be delivered from the evils that assail them, if it be
his Holy Will for us. We pray that He also grant that through your patronage and his Grace that France, Her
people, and ourselves may grow in Faith to emulate your life in all we do. You who died a Martyrs death
exclaiming the name of your savior Jesus Christ to the last. It is our heartfelt prayer that we will do the same
no matter what the circumstance of our final hour may be. Amen

St. Thrse of the Child Jesus, powerful patron of France, asked by the Blessed Virgin, Assumed body and
soul into the glory of heaven, Queen of France, to save her privileged nation, return to us with Saint Martin of
Tours, Saint Louis, King of France, with Saint Genevieve, the patroness of Paris, and Saint Joan of Arc, to
drive the Spirit of Darkness from the Kingdom. For we do not want Satan the adversary, the spirit of revolt
and unbelief to rule over neither France nor us. But we want the Prince of Peace to rule over us all, Jesus our
only Master and well beloved Savior. Amen.

Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the
devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of
God, cast into Hell Satan and all evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Thy faithful and enkindle in them the fire of Thy love.

V. Send forth Thy Spirit and they shall be created.

R. And Thou shalt renew the face of the earth.

Let us pray. O God, Who didst instruct the hearts of the faithful by the light of the Holy Spirit, grant us in the
same Spirit to be truly wise, and ever to rejoice in His consolation. Through Christ our Lord.

Amen.

Lamb of God Who takes away the sins of the world; Have mercy on us.

Lamb of God Who takes away the sins of the world; Have mercy on us.

Lamb of God Who takes away the sins of the world; Grant us peace.

Amen.

Our Father
