Describe how you would use the Online Project/Collaboration Site/Publishing Opportunity in
your classroom: Kidpud will be used to allow students to be authors and publishers. Students
will write an informative piece and publish it on KidPub.
What technologies would be required to implement this proposed learning activity in a
classroom? Ipads and Computers
Describe how the following features are addressed in this learning experience (note: all of them
may not be addressed in the project, but most should be if you are reaching a high LoTi Level.):
a. Collaboration with peers, near-peers, mentors outside their classroom and often
beyond their school: Students will write there informative piece, publish their
writing on Kidpud, and allow others to read what you wrote.
b. Student-centered learning and knowledge creation (collecting original data and or
producing original products as a result of engaging in the project): Students are
writing informational pieces,
c. Higher-order thinking: Student will have the chance to win different prizes based
on how good their writing is. Encourage students to think outside the box may
increase their chances of winning different prizes.
d. Students publishing their original work to others who will use/care about their
product: Students get the opportunity to publish and share their writing amongst
peers and students at other school. There is also room for feedback from those
who read the passage.

This lesson will be a LoTi4 because the lesson is about students taking charge by writing and
producing their own projects.
How could you implement this proposed learning experience and still comply with your districts
Internet Safety and Student Privacy policies? Students will not post any pictures or tell their
location on the site. Students will only give their first names when publishing there piece. Go over
internet dos and donts with the students.
