FirstIdliketobringtoyourattentionafewfacts,whichIfeel,havenotbeenconsideredin
thiscasewhilecomingupwiththepleadealgrantedtoandacceptedbyMr.Gattani.
1.IhadbeenmarriedtoAbhishekGattanifor10years,andbeingbatteredbyhimforthe
entireduration.Hehitme,multipletimesduringeachincidentonmyface,arms,head,belly,
pulledmyhairandabusedmeandcalledmeabitch,whore,slut,bastardandmuchmoreinmy
language.
Towardsthelast4yearsofourmarriagehebrainwashedmeintoadmittingthatIwasa
completedisgracetohimandthefamilywebuiltandthatifhewasinmyplace,hewouldcommit
suicideoutofshame,inotherwordstellingmetocommitsuicide.Healsostartedtothreatentokill
meandwhenIexpressedfearorfeelingunsafewithhimhecalleditmyselfinflicteddepression.
HewasprobablyafewdaysawayfromkillingmewhenIgotoutofthisdangerousandabusive
marriageIhadstartedgettingmywilldone,mylifeinsurancedone,inotherwordsstartedto
prepareourchildsfutureoncehekillsme.Ievenmentionedtohimthatwhatifthishappentoour
childifthishappensandhesaidIwillnotleaveyou,Iwillkillyouandthenkillmyself,ourchild
(notmentioninghernamehere)iscollateraldamage.AbhisheksheisNOTcollateraldamage
Sheisthebestthingthathappenedbetweenusandwillremainso.
2.Finallyon1st July2016,Ireportedabusetotheauthorities.AbhishekGattaniwas
arrestedoncebeforeon30November2013,ashewasbeatingmepunchingmeintheheadand
grabbingmefromtheneck,outintheopen(onthestreet)whenourmailmanreportedhisabuse.
Hewasconvictedforthisviolenceagainstmeinthisverycourtin2014.Hisfirstarrestonfelony
batterychargewasreducedtomisdemeanordisturbingthepeaceonaccountofPOSSIBLE
immigrationconsequences.ThesamereasonbeinggivenbyhisdefenseattorneyMr.Paez(who
IhiredforAbhishekduringthefirstcase),thistimearoundtoenablereductionandleniencyinthe
pleadealofferedtothisserialaggressor.IhelpedAbhishekescapeaharsherpunishment,
because,beingfromIndia,Ididnotknowbetter,IdidnotunderstandtheAmericancriminaljustice
systemandaboveallIhopedlikeafoolthatthismightbringsomechangeinhim.
3.Hewasalsorequiredtotakea52weekangermanagementclassaspartofhis
previoussentence.
 4.Thistimearoundthereisevidenceintheformofaudioandvideoclipswhichclearly
showandprovethatAbhishekwashittingme(repetitivelyhittingmeonthefaceandbody),there
arevideosofhimthreateningtostabme45timesandmanyofthesevideosshowthisabuse
towardsandhappeninginthepresenceofourthen2.5yearoldchild.Thereisalsoevidencein
theformofpicturesofbruisesobtainedfromthesebeatings.Thereisalsoevidenceofhisparents
confirming(overavideorecording)tohisphysicalabuseagainstthem(bothfatherandmother)as
wellasAbhisheksyoungersister.
5.AbhishekandIhaveanow~3.5yearolddaughtertogetherwhohasbeenexposedto
andhasbeenimpactedfrom,hisabusiveaggressivebehavior.
YH,thisisthesecondtimehisabusetowardsmehasbeenreportedtothestate,butitisnotthe
secondtimehehascommittedthesecrimes.Ourchild(3.5yearsnow)andIhavetakenmany
yearsofabuse,ofwhich3yearsofabuseposthisconvictioninthematterfrom2013.Ihopedthat
hecouldchangehiswaysandthatIcouldgiveacompletefamilytoourchild.Thathopediedon
30thJune2016andIreportedhisviolentabusetowardsourdaughterandmeonJuly1stof2016.
InthesepastfewmonthsIhavetriedcometotermswiththefactthatthemanImarried
thefatherofmychild isahorriblehumanbeing,anddidn'tdeservemycareorrespect
orloveandnow,hedoesntdeserveanothersecondofmymentalspacegiventhe10yearsI
havealreadywastedonhim.HewasamistakeandnowIneedtomoveon...butIfinditdifficult
tomoveonwhenIfeelwrongedbytheDA'sofficeandthiscourt.HonestlyIfeelfoolednotjustby
aconvictedcriminal,aggressor,wifebeater,batterer,thatIunfortunatelymarriedtheworst
mistakeofmylifebutbythiscourtaswell.Withallduerespecttothesystem...IstandFOOLED,
disgracedandridiculedasavictim.

Betweentheprosecutionanddefense,I'vebeenmarginalizedandhonestlyinsulted.What
IhavesufferedatAbhishek'shandshasbecomeinsignificantinfavorofconsiderationsfor
Abhishek'sjob,immigrationstatus.Whataboutourchild,whataboutme?Webothexperienced
domesticviolencefromAbhishek,yetourvoicescannotreachtheauthorities.Thepleadealgiven
tohimisnotpunishmentforhisdoingsratheranencouragementforcontinuinghisways,withjust
onelessontobelearntbyhimtokeepitunderthecoversnexttimeandthatheshouldsilence
thenextvictimandnotjustcontrolher.Hewasshownleniencybythiscourtinhispreviouscase,
butthesameshownthistimearound,standsnobasis.Seriously,howmanychancesdoesa
grownup,educated,CEOofatechstartupneedtounderstandthatheisnottohitanyoneorelse
hewillhaveconsequenceslikegoingtojail,orevenbeingdeported.
Thispersonpreysonthemereperceptionofweaknessandthatswhatthesystemis
exhibitingtoday.Multipletimesinthepast,MrGattaniwouldcomebackhomefromCuberon,his
startup,afterhavinganargumentwithhiscofounderandtellme,youandmycofounder(who
shallremainunnamed)arethesamelazy,emptypromisemakers,Positivefools,withnoresults.
Icanttrusthim.MrGattani,hadthesameremarksaboutfriendsandevensuccessful,
accomplishedpeopleasthemaininvestorsinhisverystartupjustbecausetheywouldshow
empathyandnotaggressionwhenapproachingachallengingsituation,callingthemfreeloaders
andluckybybeingattherightplaceattherighttime.Whoisthefreeloadertodayifnothim,and
whoisofferingthisleniencythejudicialsystem.Thistohimisntequalityorrightsbutsignof
weakness,whichhetakesadvantageof.Hehasphysicallyandmentallytorturedhisparents,his
sister,hiswifeandnowhis2.5yrolddaughtertooallbecausehelookedatourvaluesand
moralsandcareforhimasasignofweakness,whichhecouldmisuse.Henamedourstrengthas
ourweaknessandcontinuouslytookadvantageofit.HewilldothesamehereandIstandterrified

preyoninthetimestocome.
Iamappalledbythesentenceheisgetting.Ibelievejusticewillcometohim,ifnotthrough
thiscourtthenbyGod'sdecreeonaccountofhisdoingsbutIdostanddisappointedhereasalaw
abidingcitizenofthemostpowerfulcountryintheworld,feelingunprotectedandridiculedbya
CRIMINALwhoisherepleadingguiltyforthesamecrimescommittedagainstthesamevictim
injust3yearsofthefirstREPORTEDincidentwhileONprobation.
ThereasonIspeakoutnow,isthat,noangermanagementclassescanhelpamanwho
doesntthinkhedidanythingwrongwhenheHITandABUSEDotherstocontrolthem,once
someoneescapestheirguilttheonlythingthatstopsthemisseriousconsequenceswhichisa
rightfulconviction.Iseethatthedefensecouncilhasrequestedhisfelonychargetobereducedto
amisdemeanorinthefuture.Thisisthesamecriminalwhohasalreadyfooledthesystemfor3
