Disposal
Caution
The battery can explode, leak, or catch fire if exposed to high temperature, water, or fire. Do not
short-circuit, open, or disassemble the battery. Dispose of properly.
Caution
Before discarding the battery, cover the terminals with adhesive tape or other insulators. Contact
with other metal materials may lead to fire or an explosion.
Important
In the US and Canada only: the Lithium Ion/polymer battery is recyclable. Call
18008Battery for information on how to recycle this battery.

Safety and Regulatory Information
NOTE 1: At 80 MHz and 800 MHz, the higher frequency range applies.
NOTE 2: These guidelines may not apply in all situations. Electromagnetic propagation is
affected by absorption and reflection from structures, objects, and people.
a. Field strengths from fixed transmitters, such as base station for radio (cellular/cordless) telephones and land mobile
radios, amateur radio, AM and FM radio broadcast, and TV broadcast cannot be predicted theoretically with
accuracy. To assess the electromagnetic environment due to fixed RF transmitters, an electromagnetic site survey
should be considered. If the measured field strength in the location in which the system is used exceeds the
applicable RF compliance level above, the system should be observed to verify normal operation. If abnormal
performance is observed, additional measures may be necessary, such as reorienting or relocating the system.
b. Over the frequency range 150 kHz to 80 MHz, field strengths should be less than 3 v/m.

Watts Meters
For transmitters rated at a maximum output power not listed above, the recommended sepa-
ration distance (d) in meters (m) can be estimated using the equation applicable to the fre-
quency of the transmitter, where P is the maximum output power rating of the transmitter in
watts (W) according to the transmitter manufacturer.
NOTE 1: At 80 MHz and 800 MHz, the separation distance for the higher frequency range
applies.
NOTE 2: These guidelines may not apply in all situations. Electromagnetic propagation is
affected by absorption and reflection from structures, objects, and people.

4. Other Equipment
The battery should not be used adjacent to or stacked with other equipment. If
adjacent or stacked use is necessary, observe the CARESTREAM DRX-1 System to verify
normal operation in the configuration in which it will be used.
5. The battery contains no external cables, accessories, or transducers.
6. Shielded Locations
The battery is used in a shielded room to provide power for the DRX Detector, not for personal
safety. The battery is fully compliant with the requirements of IEC 6060112:2007
without being located in a shielded room.
Maintenance
Caution
Isopropyl alcohol is a flammable solution. Read and follow the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet
before use.
Do not operate the equipment when cleaning the equipment.
Do not spray cleaning solution directly onto the equipment.
Procedure:
1. Moisten a soft cloth with a 70 % solution of isopropyl alcohol and wipe the surfaces.
2. Carefully clean dust from the contacts with a soft brush or compressed air if needed.
