Dear Mayor:

This is an addendum to the committee meeting

schedule that will be held on Tuesday, July 27, 2010. All
Council committee meetings shall begin that afternoon at
3:30 p.m. unless otherwise designated.

Public Works/Zoning Committee meeting at 3:30 p.m.

1. To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing

revocation of a 50’ wide right of way for Natchez Street
from Hudson Boulevard to Tulane Avenue in Goldonna
Subdivision.

Community Development Committee meeting at 4: 00

p.m. or immediately following

1. To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing

the Mayor to enter into a Professional Services
Agreement with Megan Harrison Lord to serve as a
part-time Executive Director for the Alexandria Historic
Preservation Commission.

2. To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing

 the Mayor to enter into a written Cooperative Endeavor
Agreement with Central LA Education & Youth
Development, Inc., to provide a community program for
city youth.

Finance Committee meeting at 4:15 p.m. or

immediately following

1. To consider final adoption of an ordinance amending

2010 -2011 operating budget for positions in the Utility
Services department.

2. To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing

the Mayor to enter into general lease agreements in
the amount of no more than $5000.00 a year for the
use of office equipment and/or machines within various
city departments.

3. To hear an update from the Administration on the utility

assistant funds.

4. To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing

the Mayor to enter into a Professional Services
Agreement with DPS-Financial Resources & Solutions
for bookkeeping and tax services for the Alexandria
Festival Association.

Public Safety/Finance Committee meeting at 4:30

p.m. or immediately following

1. To hear an update from the Administration concerning

crossing guards.

Please have your staff note the change in format for the
committee meetings done in compliance with R. S. 42.7. The
Council has directed that the City Clerk may advise the
public of scheduling regarding committee meetings. It is
always that the intention of the
 Council to convene committee meetings at the conclusion
of the prior committee meeting unless the Chair of the
meeting may indicated otherwise for the convenience of the
public. Have appropriate members from your Administration
present for discussion.
