Profile
Ecologist with a focus on community sustainability, connection, and education. Currently
working at the Teton Science Schools as an environmental educator and non-profit
project coordinator. A past Fulbright research grantee, holds a B.S. in Wildlife and
Conservation Biology with extensive experience and interest in environmental sociology,
resource management, sustainable agriculture, gender and demographic equality, youth
education, compassion practices, wilderness medicine, and community service. Bilingual;
Spanish and English.

Member of the Earthfire team, service includes gathering content and resources for outreach
programs, resource development, and designing conservation conversation events for local and

Responsible for creating local partnerships and organizing logistics, in-country communication,
financial transfers, and all before, during, and after commitments to each location, internationally

Both Sides of Life incorporates this research and includes collaboration with local non-profits and
government organizations to provide environmental education, local employment, and wellness
courses to promote community involvement and sustainable development.

Coordinated and ran programs for environmental non-profit focused on youth education in the
outdoors throughout Southwestern Colorado. Taught a variety of subjects within conservation,
sustainability, safety, backcountry and adventure skills, and ecological implications of human uses.
Responsible for 12 students with one male co-instructor, included multiple overnight excursions.

Performed field, lab, and statistical data collection and analysis for the ongoing ARDEC
greenhouse gas monitoring experiment. Assisted the lead scientists on research, grant and
academic writings, and trained new employees. Field tasks included gas sampling, soil moisture
and temperature measurements, plot upkeep, and assistance in experimental set- up and removal.
Lab tasks included transferring, preparing, and maintaining field samples suitable for running gas
chromatography measurements. Data and observed analysis were performed using excel and
GraceNet modeling to predict future emissions given a specific management practice. Helped to
train new employees.

BACKCOUNTRY TRAIL CREW MEMBER, NEVADA CONSERVATION CORP-GREAT BASIN INSTITUTE,


RENO, NV 2011
Excavated new trail in the Mt.Rose Wilderness, without the use of mechanized tools. Performed all
crew duties, including water filtration, food safety, tool maintenance, and clean up. Focused on
preservation of ecological exploration and sustainable management practices within the Tahoe
Wilderness.

Enhanced amphibian conservation efforts in Ghana; facilitated and enabled international
partnerships and networking opportunities; participated in Ghana's amphibian and environmental
issues; developed skills to apply to conservation programs; educated and was educated by SAVE
THE FROGS! Ghana chapters; assisted with habitat restoration efforts; and visited local schools to
educate the next generation of Africans about environmental issues, ways to protect amphibians
and how to conserve Ghana's natural resources. Gave speeches to over 800+ people on the
importance of women in science, education, and conservation.
