TODOS VAMOS A MORIR (TVAM)
We are all going to die.
TVAM is an Audiovisual Collective dedicated to create and manipulate moving images.
We experiment with film and digital video to create unusual links between the different frames in a sequence of moving images. We
manage the process to create the images and the way they are displayed one after the other. Our experiments, so far, have been in
linear time based media. Our stories reach out of the ordinary into a universe that blends the real and the unperceived.
Our visual experimentations are the following:
DEUS EX MACHINA.
(1998-2000) duration: 8 min, color 16mm
An entity possesses us with out us noticing.
This short film uses the subjective point of view to present an
invisible character that wanders in the city. The first two victims
are possessed in the ignorance of their own thought. The third
victim, who is able to see the invisible entity, tries to run away,
leaving it clear that the subjective point of view is more than a
chosen technique.
The link between the invisible character and the violence
underlines the conflict between real violence and represented
violence (in media). At the end the indigent decides to kill the
entity by committing suicide, resuming all violence as violence
to the self.
3:00 AM
(1998-2000) duration: 7 min, color 16mm
When you dream, you are not always dreaming.
In this Film the experimentation consisted in trying to show a
single moment through three different points of view, alternating
subjective and objective. The story is used to show the
overlapping dimensions in a single moment. We have a
character that dreams, a dead character that returns and a
character that awakes. Instead of being established in physical
space, this story stands on the intangibility of time.
Violence is linked to memory and the idea of sin and betrayal.
Memory will not let our past acts disappear. The intent of
unifying in time all the characters point of view is to show that
every frame in the film has a tight relationship to all other
frames, it doesnt matter how many meters of film stand
between them.This proofs that all frames in a film are together
in time.

LIVING CRAZY (Viviendo a lo loco)
(1999-2001) Duration: 13 min, color 16mm.
The day that Poncho gives a gun to Perico.
This film is more about the celluloid that carries the images
than what the images represent. The space represented by
the film is extended by the montage, creating with this an
incoherent repetition against the realism of the story. The main
message has more to do with the physicality of the film than
with the story displayed in it.
The language used talks about the fiction created by the
observer while trying to unify two different sequences of
images in a single story. In the film one action does not lead to
another, the breaks in continuity and the lack of information
leaves everything to the audiences imagination. The transmit-
ted message is held together more by the celluloid than by the
story that is represented in it.
THE BRUSH (El Roce)
(2000-2003) Duration: 16-20-130 min, black / white digital
video transferred to 16/35mm film.
A young couple meets its destiny between the elevator and the
stairs.
Shot with a wireless pinhole camera and recorded in digital
video, this film is about the weight that our future expectations
have on the present moment.
The characters in the present and in the future shift from being
parallel to become perpendicular. This shift creates an always
growing distance between the lovers.
This experiment was taken into a second level when the movie
was transferred from 29.97 frames per second to 24 frames
per second. Here we discovered that there are two frame rates
in a film: one you shoot with and another one you project with.
This relation is very important in the viewing experience of the
represented reality.
ROGELIO VS THE WALL. (Rogelio vs. El muro) 12 DE DICIEMBRE

The tale of a man who wanted to go through the wall. 12 of December is the date when, hundreds of years ago, the
Virgin of Guadalupe appeared in the cloth of a Mexican native.

Rogelio, apparently psychotic, doesnt run away from reality, he

confronts it with all his body by crashing against the wall. Andre
with all his sense, only wants to disappear, he wants to be
forgotten by the world.
At the end only both transcend one another.

REVOLCADERO FILMS
REVOLCADERO FILMS, is a film production company created by directors for directors.

After having worked independently, in 2005, directors Yibrn Asuad, Gerardo Naranjo, and Renato Ornelas, together with Gabriel
Garca, as executive producer, incorporated REVOLCADERO FILMS.
Revolters's objective is to create a space where making innovative movies, with a strong personal seal, within an environment of
creative freedom, is possible, and, at the same time, profitable in the international market.

With this objective in mind, REVOLCADERO FILMS has consolidated a team, specialized in the diverse areas of film making, from art
direction to music composing.
A priority interest of the company is the continuity on the creation of originals scripts. Based on this idea, the workshop
La bella sobriedad was formed, integrating 12 young writers, who get together every week, to work on the progress of inventive
scripts. Only in the past year, four scripts from La bella sobriedad workshop were filmed.

Parallel to film production, REVOLCADERO FILMS produces T.V. shows and documentaries such as Mexico Siglo XX; commercials
and animations such as Silence at Sad Hill, which was accepted in the Mexican Film Institutes (IMCINE) short film catalogue.

One year from its incorporation, REVOLCADERO FILMS confirms its optimism on the perspectives of the company. With three feature
films produced and a very interesting slate of projects, we trust that REVOLCADERO FILMS will become a strong artistic and economic
source, reknown by the quality of its projects.

after his robberies, following the superstition that this will protect
him. The movie follows the capers of the lone thief who
manages to survive despite the extortions of a dirty cop and a

A Saturday afternoon in Acapulco, Fernanda is raped by her
ex-boyfriend Chano. What seems to be an act of brutal
violence, becomes a love scene. In a soccer field, Gonzalo,
Fernandas current boyfriend, hears the rumor: Chanos back
and with Fernanda. We attend how a goalkeeper dressed
macho prototype goes down to the hell of jealousy and
impotence.
In Mexico City, a day before, Jaime, and old office clerk, steals
the paycheck from his job. From now on, his actions will
oscillate between the nihilism and the intention of crossing his
head with a bullet. Jaime disappears and runs away to
Acapulco.
Mariana, an adolescent nicknamed La Tigrillo is planning to
survive by swindling tourists and pretending to be an exotic
masseuse. After receiving an intensive course from her
girlfriends, her first client is Jaime, who has just arrived to
Acapulco.
DRAMA MEX plays with time and presents to us various points
of view from each story. Its final, far from concluding the stories,
will leave us with many questions.

BURRITO WESTERN SOUNDTRACK

A lecture by Alejandro Giacomn

Alejandro Giacomn born in Mexico City in 1964. He studied Electronic Engineering and Music. He has composed the soundtracks
for more than 60 films from diverse genres. Also he has taught music on film at the Centro de Capacitacin Cinematogrfica (CCC)
in Mexico City. At the beginning of his career he worked for low budget films, like Mtenme porque me muero, Temerarios, sueo
y realidad, Amorosos fantasmas and Deuda saldada many of which belong to the Burrito Western and Sexy Comedy genres. In
his talk he will discuss issues about the history of the soundtrack in Mexico and, along with anecdotes and examples, he will give
some recommendations about how to realize a Burrito Western film, or how to do to avoid it.

CHAQUET FILMS
Chaquet Films it characterizes for an intuitive approach to video, working within a relaxed dynamic that favors improvisation. Its
videos have in common the use of comedy as a way to confront global stupidity. Chaquet films are Pedro Zulu Gonzlez , Renato

Paulina del Paso was born in 1973. She works and lives in Mexico City.
She studied video at the University of Guadalajara and film at the Centro de Capacitacin Cinematogrfica, Mxico DF.

NUEVOS RICOS
NUEVOS RICOS has been invited by film curator Kees Brienen to organize a three day program event about film and music in the
most shitty city of the world: Mexico D.F. A city renown for its hellish traffic, random violence and hyper saturated landscape.

NUEVOS RICOS is an aspiring cult label project based in Mexico City with a catalogue of highly catatonic sounds. The label has
chosen a number of rock and electronic oriented acts that have tremendous stage presence. These bands have a dance music quality
that is cathartic; they want the audience to break loose at their events and become part of the performance. Being performance
oriented means that they have to be extremely precise in the way they build their shows: the kind of place, the atmosphere, the hour,
and the levels of intensity. NUEVOS RICOS bands are not to be listened to passively, but to be shouted at and to be danced to.
NUEVOS RICOS works as a platform to expose their radical ideas about performance, music, show business and even political
position.

NUEVOS RICOS also has a visual side that is strongly graphic and that fusion with the music through the record covers and the make
up of the performing space. To shout NUEVOS RICOS uses posters, banners and slogans as well.

NUEVOS RICOS are convinced that through the use of irony they can play a healthy game within the boundaries of the art and the
music industries to respond against an attitude where the products are defined solely by the needs of the markets and the institutions.
An attitude that confines the artists to participate in a game where to be critical they have to play their role as mercenaries. In this
regard, by creating their means as a company, NUEVOS RICOS has to play in a way that is not cynical, neither happy.

NUEVOS RICOS takes the initiative and gets to top from the rear.
