An Analysis of Value Management in Construction Projects

in Trinidad and Tobago

The purpose of Value Management (VM) is to deliver best value or ensure value for
money on a project. The best possible option is found for the Client by ensuring that the various
parties involved throughout the entire project life cycle are aware of the functions of the project
and ensuring that the needs of the stakeholders are met and any unnecessary costs rooted in the
design are eliminated without the functional quality being reduced.

AIM: The purpose of this research is to investigate the extent to which Value Management is
being utilized in building construction projects in Trinidad and Tobago.

We would appreciate if a senior staff member from your organization would kindly complete
these questions. The information provided is strictly for the research study being undertaken and
will be treated as confidential. Your cooperation in answering the questions in full is vital to this
