Dunamis Counseling and Wellness Center, mission and philosophy is holistic and
designed to empower each individual, family, and couples in the community it
serves.
INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING: With a highly skilled group of therapists, we take pride in
our ability to meet the needs of many different client concerns.

COUPLES & FAMILIES: We work with couples who feel out-of-sync with each other
and who are tired of getting into the same painful situations without a way out.

OUR MISSION : Our services focus on the whole person with emphasis on improved
mental, emotional, physical, spiritual and social well-being. It is our mission is to
ensure the availability and accessibility of high quality compassionate, ethical, and
supportive services and programs for clients in Shasta and it's surrounding counties.
Dunamis is comprised of a staff of licensed clinicians, masters level therapists,
massage therapists, personal trainers and estheticians, all share a commitment to
practice in a way that recognizes and builds upon the clients strengths and is highly
responsive to their concerns.

Jill holds a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Simpson University and is a
Marriage and Family Therapist Registered Intern. She works with Doug Porter a
respected member of the therapeutic community in Redding,

Doug has been working with families and individuals in the Redding area since
1995. A graduate of Chico state and post-graduate of the University of San
Francisco. Happily Married for 36 years with two adult children.
SUSAN RHYNE MA : Education Manager - LMFT #98042
Susan is a Marriage and Family Therapy Registered Intern specializing in children
and adolescent, individual, and family therapy.
JASON HODGSON MA : Life Coach/Mentor - LPC (Missouri), NCC
Jason received his Masters degree in Counseling in 2012, from MidAmerica
Nazarene University in Kansas and since graduating has worked in a residential
facility in Kansas City.
PATSY SHEALY PHD : PHD., LMFT 22662
Dr. Shealy earned her doctorate in Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate
Institute, Santa Barbara, CA in 2003 and has practiced as a Marriage Family
Therapist in California for 30 years.
CAROL CHAN MS : Counselor/Therapist LMFT #48135
Carol is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and received her Master of
Science degree in Marital and Family Therapy from Fuller Theological Seminary.

PROVIDING INDIVIDUAL, COUPLES AND FAMILY COUNSELING. Clinical Treatment
specialization includes:
Therapy for Depression and Anxiety: Find out how talk therapy works to
lift mood and help patients with depression & anxiety improve coping
skills.
Couples Counseling: Marriage counseling, also called couples therapy, is a type of
psychotherapy. Marriage counseling helps couples of all types recognize and resolve
conflicts and improve their relationships.
Family Counseling: Family therapy is a type of psychological counseling
(psychotherapy) that helps family members improve communication and resolve
conflicts.

Wellness Services
The state of being in good health, especially as an actively pursued goal. The term
wellness has been applied in many ways. Although there might be different views
on what wellness encompasses, the National Wellness Institute--along with the help
of leaders in health and wellness--shared many interpretations and models of
wellness Services Provided.
