MY
TEACHING
PHILOSOPY
My love for physical education began at very young age. Educating
others on such an important topic has been passion of mine
throughout the years. Physical education is a unique opportunity to
create well-rounded, healthy, individuals through a variety of
activities and movement. To me, teaching a student personal and
social responsibility is just as important as teaching a student how
to successfully pass a soccer ball. Students will be successful by
evaluating and reflecting on their experiences in the gymnasium.
Teaching models that I will use include Teaching Games for
Understanding, Cooperative Learning, and Lifelong Fitness
models. Learning will be student centered and student driven. In
order for a person to adopt a healthy lifestyle, they must make the
choices and goals for activities that best suit them.
