of Tomorrow Scholarship Application Instructions and Form

The NBMBAA Philadelphia Chapter awards scholarships to deserving high school seniors in the Leaders
of Tomorrow (LOT) program. Applicants must demonstrate academic excellence, strong communication
skills, and leadership ability.

All application materials must be received by 11pm Eastern Time on May 26, 2017.

Applicants must:

! Be an African-American student
! Be a currently enrolled high school senior
! Be a student in the NBMBAA Philadelphia LOT program
! Have and maintain a minimum 3.0 Grade Point Average
! Be a citizen of the United States
! Attend Scholarship Awards Luncheon on June 10, 2017
! Submit all application materials by 11pm eastern on May 26, 2017

Recipients receive:

! Scholarship award of $1000

! One complimentary Scholarship Awards Luncheon ticket

Recipients are required to:

! Enroll full-time (e.g., 12 semester hours) in a 4-year, degree granting program at an AACSB
accredited institution in the fall 2017 term
! Agree to participate in limited public relations activities
! Please share his/her LOT experience

Application materials: All application materials should be submitted in one email to info@nbmbaa-
philly.org. Please use Scholarship Applicant LOT as the email subject.


LOT ESSAY- Complete a 500-word essay responding to the following question:

How will you leverage your experience in the Leaders of Tomorrow program to be successful and to enhance
your collegiate experience?

RSUM:
Must not exceed two (2) pages.

TRANSCRIPT(S):
Transcripts are required for all coursework. Please submit an unofficial copy of your most recent
transcript. An official transcript may be requested if you are selected as a scholarship finalist.

PHOTOGRAPHS
A professional-looking headshot in jpg format. The image should be at least 1024 x 768.

LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION:
A letter of recommendation from a high school teacher or community leader must be on high school or
business letterhead and include the referrers name, title, phone number, and e-mail address.

COMPLETED APPLICATION AND INITIALIZED AGREEMENT

The completed application on the following page with an applicant initials after the statement of
acknowledgement.

Applicants are responsible for ensuring all required information is submitted in one email with the
relevant attachments. Incomplete applications will not be evaluated. Application materials received in
multiple parts will not be evaluated. All information received is considered confidential and is reviewed
only by members of the NBMBAA Philadelphia Chapter Scholarship Committee.
