Dear Parent/Guardian of Wyatt Yoose, March 29, 2017

The purpose of this letter is share information regarding the interventions your child receives
through the Title One Program. As a school, we value parent involvement and recognize the importance
of providing ongoing updates on your child's progress. Below is a summary of your child's intervention(s)
and the data we are collecting to monitor growth.

Area(s) of Instructional Technique Progress Monitor (Data End of Year Most Recent Score
Support or Program Collection) Tool Grade Level Goal and Accuracy Rate

Reading Sound Partners (Current Oral Reading Fluency (ORF) 111 82

Unit-end of 5) 98.8%

**Please view the attached chart of data and graph that show the overall trend of this assessment.

Wyatt has been receiving the Sound Partners intervention in a group of two since the beginning
of February (the program began earlier this school year). In this program we have been learning many
new letter pairs (letters that go together to make their sounds like: ow, ew, ou, ue, ee, tr, ck, qu, er, ay,
and ar). We will continue increasing the amount of text we are reading weekly in group, hopefully
allowing for his reading fluency to increase both in number of words per minute and in how nice it
sounds overall.

At home: Wyatt will benefit from more practice of reading out loud at home so he can hear what his
reading sounds like. Another option would be for him to record himself reading (just audio is fine), and
then follow along in the story as he listens to himself read.

As you review this information, please keep in mind that the trend of Wyatt's performance over
time is most important. It is not uncommon to see a student's performance fluctuate from week to
week as performance is impacted by the tool used to monitor progress as well as a students behavior or
mood on a particular day. If you have questions about the information shared or your child's progress,
please do not hesitate to contact myself, okeyc@potosisd.k12.wi.us, or Tammy Cooley, Director of Pupil
Services, cooleyt@potosisd.k12.wi.us, as soon as possible.

Thank you,

Mrs. Okey
