The Land of the Other Realm

Part One

It was the year 2025 in the city of New York at central hall when the Council of Elders

voted to allow the funding for dimensional travel. The Council of Elders was brought into power

in 2020, they replaced the presidency. The council was created with the sole purpose of

extinguishing the debt that the country had developed. The Council was also asked to make

decisions that would be more beneficial to the country than past mistakes made by the

presidency. Dr. Lucas Ravenwood, a renowned scientist, developed Project R. Project R is a plan

to develop a device that allows people to jump through dimensions.

Project R became public information after a leak in information lead to the media being

notified of its existence. Many scientists argued that dimensional travel was very dangerous and

was not worth the consequences associated with it. When the Council approved Project R, the

public became enraged, and wanted to fight the funding of this program by the newly established

government. When the Council became the primary funder of the project, all communications to

the media regarding its progress were silenced. Without the intention of doing so, the public

became calm, and stopped their protests towards the funding of the project.

Part Two

Over the course of a year Project R made substantial developments. Todays date is

August 15, 2026, and it has been released to the public that the technology for dimensional travel

has been developed. The paper said that test date for this technology is set for September 1,

2026. The releasing of this information caused an uproar in the city of New York. Over half of

the citys population fled the city in fear of a catastrophic disaster occurring due to the testing of
the project. The chance of failure is 50%, and if the test failed the earth would be destroyed. Dr.

Ravenwood feared this result greatly, but thought that the chance of success in this project was

worth the risk. For the first test of the system the Dr. Ravenwood created a test dummy. Dr.

Ravenwood sent this test dummy through the portal into the 13th dimension that the system

picked up. The scientist then used the system to portal the test dummy back to earth. The test was

successful. One week later at an awards ceremony Dr. Ravenwood was given an award for

discovering dimensional travel. As Dr. Ravenwood received his award a rumble in the earth

shook the city. A massive earthquake, rating a 7.2 on the richter scale, hit New York city.

Extreme destruction led to millions of people being trapped in New York and the areas

surrounding the city. Shortly following the earthquake Dr. Ravenwood noticed a slight change in

his weight, the next thing he noticed was that leaves were being pulled to the ground from the

remaining standing trees, as if gravity was getting stronger. In realization that Earth's

gravitational pull was getting stronger, Dr. Ravenwood decided to check his Program to see if it

caused the unusual changes. Dr. Ravenwood realized that his project had disrupted the Earths

normal functions. He also realized if the destruction continued, Earth would end up as a black

hole, pulling the other planets into it, destroying the solar system. Due to the lengthy process that

the Council was undergoing to approve a human test subject, the technology was not used since

the first test of it took place. Not knowing the consequences of the technology and what it could

do further to Earth. Dr. Ravenwood sent himself through the portal into Dimension 13.

Part Three

Dr. Ravenwood woke up in what seemed to be a room completely made of Amethyst

Crystal. A man walked through the room, he was covered in tattoos that seemed like they

covered his whole body. The man was wearing what appeared to be silk combat equipment.
"Where am I." Dr. Ravenwood asked confused. "You are in the City of Shadows. My name is

Blackwell and I'm here to retrieve you for our clan leader Leo Bloodwood. He would like to help

you, if you are willing to listen and remain open minded." They walked down a hallway that was

so high it appeared there was no roof. They arrived in what looked like a throne room, and at the

end of it, sitting in an amethyst chair, was a man. He stood up, and introduced himself as Leo,

the Ravenwood Clan leader. Without giving Dr. Ravenwood a chance to react, Leo continued to

explain how magic existed in only certain blood lines. He explained that Dr. Ravenwoods

bloodline went back thousands of years to the original discovery of magic. Dr. Ravenwood

discovered that an early ancestor of his founded the clan, and created this dimension as a magical

sanctuary, designed to provide a safe place for magic users to gather. Dr. Ravenwood was then to

told by Leo that he was, required to use his magical abilities with the assistance of the clan to

restore the earth to its natural balance. Dr. Ravenwood then traveled back to Earth where two of

the clan members and himself restored the natural balance to the Earth and destroy the

technology that ever-allowed dimensional travel. Part of repairing the damage required him to

wipe all of civilization of the memory of how dimensional travel worked as well that it existed.

Dr. Ravenwood was upset that his work would have been for nothing. Upon return to the 13th

Dimension, Dr. Ravenwood was told that he would be required to stay, and practice his magical

abilities before he returned. Dr. Ravenwood was very upset and proceeded to explain to Leo that

his, whole life has been in the real world, and now you expect me to up and leave with no

explanation! Why would I want anything to do with your kind! With this of course Leo

responded with, Well, Dr. Ravenwood training is simply what our kind does to keep things like

this from occurring. Not to mention, your father would not approve of your attitude towards your

own kind. How dare you, Leo not only are you insane, but my father is dead. No, he is not,
in fact he is on earth right now. Your father came to our dimension after you were born, and by

our law was forced to stay here and train his abilities. Upon your fathers return to earth, he

searched for you and your mother, but could not find you. He has been looking for you ever

since. He wanted to bring you to this place so you could be trained at an early age. As the

conversation went on Dr. Ravenwood finally agreed to be trained in the practice of magic,

considering h would not be allowed to return to Earth if he did not.

Part Four

Dr. Ravenwood trained for years. Upon his mastery of magic Dr. Ravenwood was

appointed the new leader of the Ravenwood Clan, despite his new status he decided to return to

earth where he will perform his duties as the clan leader. When he arrived, his father was waiting

for him on the other side of the portal. Dr. Ravenwood was speechless, he was meeting his father

for the first time. They proceeded to go out for a meal and to catch up. Dr. Ravenwood and his

father moved in together in an apartment in New York. They lived together happily with Dr.

Ravenwoods wife and his set of twin boys. Dr. Ravenwood plans to take his children, on their

13th birthday, in for training in the 13th dimension, where he will teach them all about their family

history and what they are. He wants his children to grow up to continue the family line and take

over his position as leader of the Ravenwood Clan, where they rightfully belong. He hopes that

one day his children or even their kids can bring the world to understanding magic and accepting

it.
