Lesson 1 Reflection

The first lesson I taught during my teaching practice was a science

lesson about the four season. The lesson toke a place on Al Ansar

International School, for kg2 students. My learning outcomes were that

students will be able to develop their fine-motor skills, to recognize the four

seasons and to differentiate clothes they wear in each season. The students

used their pupil book, to match the right clothes with the right season, for

example: they have to match swimming suit to summer. Some of the

students were able to answers correctly and some of them didnt know what

to do, but after helping them they did well. They also had four different kind

of activities, and each group have one activity then they will switch. The first

group is the excellent group they will have different kind of clothes pictures

and cards with the clothes name written on it, each one of them will match

the picture with the right word. This activity was easy for them and they

finished it so fast. The second group is the awesome group they had a

sheet with a tree on it and for each season they will have to stick the leaves/

flowers on the right place, for example: if they have an autumn tree they will

have to stick the leaves like its falling, students were excited doing this

activity and they enjoyed it. The third group is the clever group students

had clothes puzzle, for example: they will have a dress but its separated to

three pieces and they have to join it together, the activity was interesting for

them but they take longer time than others to finish it because they had to

think which piece they have to choose to complete the others. The forth and
the last group is the brilliant group the students had to match the clothes

to the right season, which was an easy activity for them. Students were

engaged and excited during the lesson and I think they were like this

because its different from what they used to take and had a lot of different

activities, they used to do all the works on their books. Some of the students

had difficulty in understanding me and some of them didnt listen to my

instructions so when I tried to get their attention and it didnt work my MST

helped me to manage their behavior. By the end of the lesson I had reached

my learning goals, even though I faced some difficulty while managing

students behavior I was happy and satisfied about my lesson.
