Introduction (warmer activity + teacher introduction/demonstration of small group activities)


Teacher will write the letter a on the smart board and ask the students what letter it is then remind
them how to write the letter a on the smart board a few times.

Active Engagement (group working with the teacher)


Teacher will ask them to demonstrate and show their work, first by writing it in the air, then on the
white boards.
Teacher will make sure all students understand the concept and then model the activities.
Time: 15-20 min
Independent Experience (small group activity 1)
Students will be given a paper with a hollow letter a on it, glue sticks, and many decorative.
Students will write their names on the paper.
Students will write the letter a using the glue stick, then decorate according to their preference.
Independent Experience (small group activity 2)
Students will wear their colouring apron.
Teacher will colour their hands and they can print it on a paper.
Students will write the letter a using their index finger and paint.
Students will wash their hands.
Students will decorate their hand print to make it look like an apple.
Independent Experience (small group activity 3)
Students will have colouring sheets related to the letter a that they can practice and colour on.

Miss Katherine, Miss Asma, and I will all be working on a different table and helping the students
