Resource Operations is asking the public
to prepare for localized flooding as water
levels in Nicola Lake & River rise due to
increased snowmelt and higher than nor-
mal rain levels in April. Lake levels have
been rising for the past 15 days.
And with last nights rain and whats
expected over the weekend as well as
the warm weather the River Forecast
Centre has issued a high streamflow advi-
sory (levels rise rapidly, but no major
flooding expected/minor flooding in
low-lying areas possible) for small
streams around Merritt and other parts
of the Central Interior.
