RELATION OF QUALITY AND SATISFACTION ON GERIATRIC HEALTH


SERVICE IN GERIATRIC INTEGRATED SERVICE POSTS (POSYANDU) PUCANG
SEWU PUBLIC HEALTH CENTER SURABAYA

Geriatric Integrated Service Posts (Posyandu) is a service for elderly in community


which purpose to increase quality of life through health and well-being improvement. In
accordance increasing satisfaction of elderly in using geriatric integrated health services,
quality of services including input, process, and outcomes are very important in
implementation.
This study aims to determine relationship between quality and satisfaction on
geriatric Posyandu in Pucang Sewu Public Health Center Surabaya.
Design of study used is cross sectional with 277 elderly respondents who members
of geriatric Posyandu. Sample retrieval by cluster sampling. Independent variable is quality
whereas dependent variable is satisfaction. Respondents data were obtained by questionnaire
and analyzed by Spearman Rho with significance level ( <0.05).
Good quality service is proven related to satisfaction in elderly with Spearman Rho
test results for inputs quality p = 0.000 with a correlation coefficient of 0.705. Process at p =
0.000 with a correlation coefficient of 0.750 and outcome at p = 0.000 with a correlation
coefficient of 0.766, which means there is relationship between the independent variables and
the dependent variable.

This study concluded there is relationship between quality of inputs, process, and
outcome with satisfaction of elderly in geriatric Posyandu services. The results of this study
can be used by public health centers and cadres of geriatric Posyandu to maintain standards
quality which have been implemented. Improve service quality and develop aspects of
geriatric Posyandu which still unsatisfactory.
