Anglophone East School District May 16 to Present


Supply Teacher
Assuming the responsibility of the classroom teacher when they are absent.
Teaching grades kindergarten through to grade 12 in all subject areas at various schools
within the district. I possess the ability to follow lesson plans accurately, maintain
student records, complete formal and informal assessments, maintain classroom
management, maintain student engagement, incorporate technology, implement
behaviour plans and modify instruction for accommodated learners while delivering the
essential learnings and meeting the outcomes of the lesson as laid out by the teacher. I am
able to build a positive rapport with students, administrators, and other school personnel.
I have been consistently praised for my organization, reliability, time
management, and dedication to the school, staff, and students as well as voluntarily
providing prep periods and covering duty schedules for fellow colleagues. My goal as a
substitute is to provide a seamless transition for students, to deliver the intended lesson
plan while the teacher is away, as well as, assist whenever possible the office, colleagues,
students, and the district.

Administrative Assistant Lewisville Middle School
Responsible for all administrative duties at a middle school level (grades 6 to 8)
with approximately 370 students. I implemented new software (PowerSchool) for student
data, which includes scheduling, enrollments, student transfers, attendance,
demographics, and medical data including emergency plans. I was responsible (together
with the school principal) for school financial transactions and budget reconciliation
including purchases, deposits, and payments as well as School Cash online. Entering and
maintaining staff and casual employees absences (Absence & Aseop), addressing
transportation needs of students such as busing (Versatrans), maintaining the school
website, preparing documentation such as report cards, certificates, attendance letters,
and various other student related reports. General office duties, office supervision, as well
as assisting students, staff, school visitors, and general public with a variety of requests.

During my practical placement I implemented a program to teach grade 1 and

Administrative Assistant
Working at various schools and directly at district office as a casual administrative
assistant Various office duties including distribution of mail, preparing reports, maintaining files,
assisting the administrative staff, answering phones, and general inquires. I was placed at HTHS
for an extended period and really enjoyed assisting with graduation activities including programs,
gowns, rehearsals, and decorations.

Responsibilities included: On call work for Kelly Services, primarily with Anglophone
East to replace school receptionists when they are absent. It includes school & student records
(using Win school), absentee list, assisting the principal and vice principal in daily activities as
well as supervision duties, and general office duties until I departed for Maternity leave (Feb
2007). I also worked several hours with Atlantic Education International (AEI), who is
responsible for sending teachers and students to China for work and overseas experiences. This
work was very confidential as it deals with personal information such as passports and work
visas. I was awarded Employee of the Month by Kelly Services in January 2007.

I renewed my standard workplace first aid CPR/AED level C certification in
January 2017 through the Canadian Red Cross, valid for the next three years.

Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI)


I am scheduled to renew my NVCI training in March 2017 through Crandall
University. My current NVCI expired in December 2016; however, I attended a refresher
professional development session at Lewisville Middle School in October 2016.
