Eric Neymars home will be colorful, spacious, and a place for him
to unwind after working and socializing all day. The architecture
of the surrounding buildings is Romanesque but dont let that fool
you. The inside of his home will have a Brazilian color scheme of
red, yellow, and blue hues in consideration of his ethnic
background. Geometric furniture and dcor helps show movement
within while also incorporating the Bauhaus Style. Bold lines and
bright colors will help fill the room with energy. There will be
plenty of space for an office where he can work in quiet and room
for his wine collection. Its the perfect place to call home.

JUSTIFICATION
Bold accent colors have been incorporated throughout living and
dining room to the preferred Bauhaus style. Animal art and dcor is used
in the bedroom to bring out that Brazilian flare my client has. The two
styles merge well together and make for a great design. There are a lot of
geometric shapes and lines which gives great contrast and accommodates
to his style. There is direct lighting and accent lighting to provide for a
bright and energetic space.

Part I: Justifying the Solution
I knew what I wanted for my concept as soon as I read my clients profile. Ive
done projects with the Bauhaus style before so I know that red, blue, and yellow are
common hues and instantly knew that I would use them for my accent colors. Hes also
Brazilian so those colors work well with his culture as well. My inspiration photo was a
parrot so it played on both aspects, a Brazilian animal that is red, blue, and yellow. My
goals were to use geometric lines to keep your eyes moving around. I used bold accent
colors to bring a lot of energy and brightness to his home. Also, to create a nice contrast I
used black, greys, and white hues to really make the accent colors pop.
Making sure my hallways were at least 36 and my doorways were 32 was a big
part of making my design work. I wanted to allow enough space in each bedroom and
still have a good amount of circulation throughout. The schematics helped me get a feel
of how much space was used for the circulation and a lot of the time I had too much of it.
I then would reshape my dimensions to make it function better. I also had to make sure I
didnt make my closets to big compared to bedrooms and so forth.
I would say the experience in AutoCad alone was the most helpful part of the course. I
think there is always more to learn with it and its something Ive struggled with so far. Im
finally getting into the habit of changing my layers and making writers blocks so I dont have to
keep redesigning the same furniture items. The second concept that really helped me was
creating the study model. Even though I didnt do that great, I still enjoyed the outcome and how
the scaling of each piece was so important. It also reminds me of how you would bring your
AutoCad design into 3D design. Lastly, I would say I learned a lot about the use of lighting.
Lighting is more than just picking out chandeliers and sconces. You need to know your
environment and how it will affect your paint colors and furniture material. Also, how bright you
want your lighting in certain rooms. I know that I learned so much about specification sheets and
how to make a presentation board and thats something I can take with me and use in the future.
At the beginning of this class I was intimidated and started off a little rocky, I feel that it only
makes it more uplifting that I finished with a decent grade and completed all my assignments.
