MEDIA STUDIES ASSIGNMENT 3 ADVERTISING

CHECKLIST

You must have completed the following:

and USP of your product and reasons why
they would appeal to your target audience
1 A4 analysis of possible slogans you might
use (identifying language devices) and why
these might/might not appeal to your target

initial mock-ups/drafts/sketches of layout
ideas
a paragraph/table/comment upon the
representational issues of your
advertisements (i.e. do they conform to or
challenge stereotypes
a paragraph/table/comment upon the
ideologies presented within your
advertisements
A short paragraph outlining where your
adverts will be placed in mags and billboards

Advertisements:
3 poster advertisements for a new product or
service: one billboard (landscape) and two
magazine adverts (portrait). (Photoshop
versions) Remember CONSISTENCY
same logo, name, brand image across all
ads.

You will be responsible for making the images


for your adverts it is better to have more than
3 images to choose from so make sure you have
back-up ideas (images)

Where and when the product will be exhibited
What regulations and controls might be

The strengths and weaknesses of the product
in terms of meeting the needs of the
audience
Evaluation must be between 700-800 words.
(two typed/four handwritten)

You will be expected to hand in this work in printed portfolio format (i.e. a folder). Also, upload
all work to your BLOG.

All work is to be printed off and saved in your folder on your PC folder
