Specificsafetymeasureshavetofollowasapplicable,andallthesafetymeasuresarecoveredseparatelyintheprojectsafetyplan.

5.Operation
1.Materials:Materialsusedwillbeasperthematerialsubmittalapprovedbytheengineerandwillbeaspertheapproveddrawings
incoordinationwithotherservices.
2.Storage/Protection:DB,SMDB,andMDBandAccessoriesshallbeunloadedwithcaretoavoidanydamages.Iftheyare
shippedinpacksorpallets,eachpackofpalletshallbeliftedindividuallywithsuitableliftingequipment.Everyprecautionshallbe
takentopreservetheircleanlinessbeforeinstallation.Storeinaccordancewithmanufacturersinstructions,Properlyprotected

fromconstructionactivitiesandweatherconditions.
3.Installation:
a.Tomakesurethattheentireinstallationisinconformanceandinaccordancewiththedesignintentoftheprojectforthe
ElectricalandLowVoltageSysteminadditiontothespecificationandasperapprovedshopdrawingsandcomply.
b.withlocalandInternationalStandards.
c.Alltheswitchboardsshallbefabricatedatthemanufacturersworks.
d.Beforebeginninginstallationinanyarea,examineallpartsoftheadjoiningworksintowhichapplicableworkistobeplaced.
Shouldanyconditionbefoundwhichwillpreventtheproperexecutionofthework,installationshallnotproceedinthatarea
untilsuchconditionsarecorrectedbythecontractor.

h.Numberterminals,cablesandcomponentpartstocorrespondwithmanufacturerhavecertifieddrawings.
i.TerminatePVC,SWAPVCandMICScablesinsideenclosurebysecuringcablestoswitchboardswithglandbracket;and
enclosurewithglandingplatesorfabricatedsteelextensionboxes.

j.Forflushinstallation,DBsallconductorsshallterminatebehindtheboardinanadaptablebox.Forsurfacemounting,trunking
shallbefixedbetweentheboardandceilingorfloorlevel,orconduitrundirectlyintoTrunkingwhichpreventcorrect
installationoftheTrunkinglid.Adequateearthcontinuityshallbemadebetweenthevariouscomponents.

6.Responsibilities
1.ProjectManager
a.ToensurethatallthepreparationandapplicationworksarecarriedoutaccordingtotheContractSpecification.
b.Toensurethattheprogressingofworksiscarriedoutaccordingtotheplannedprogramandaspertheapprovedmethod
statement.
c.ToensurethatallequipmentandmaterialrequiredexecutingtheworkareavailableaccordingtotheplannedConstruction
Programme.

d.TocoordinatewiththeMainContractor,MEPcocoordinator,andSafetyOfficerforasafeandproperexecutionoftheworks.
2.SiteEngineer
a.ToensurethattheworksarecarriedoutaccordingtotheContractSpecificationsapprovedmethodstatement.
b.Toprovideallnecessaryinformationanddistributeresponsibilitiestohisconstructionteam.
c.TomonitortheprogressofworkinrelationwiththeworkprogramandtoreporttotheProjectManager.
d.Tocoordinatewiththesafetyofficerandtoensurethattheworksarecarriedoutinsafepracticingmethods.
3.Foreman
a.Theforemanwillcarryouthisdutiesbymaintainingcontinuouscoordinationwiththesiteengineerondailybasis,andensure
properdistributionoftheworkforceintherequiredandplannedlocations.

f.Toensurefullcoordinationwiththesafetyofficertomaintainsafeworkingandproperhousekeepingofthesite,followingthe
approvedsafetymeasuresandfurtherensurethatallhisworkingteamareawareofthesametopreventaccidentandlosses.
g.Aftercompletionofworks,Foremanshallinformthesiteengineerforinspectionofworks.
h.Distributionandthecontrolofmaterialsshallbemonitoredbyforemanandstorekeeper.
4.SafetyEngineer
a.EnsuretheimplementationofallthesafetymeasuresinaccordancewiththeHSEplanandeverybodyawareofitforitsproper
implementation.
b.Ensurealltheimplementedsafetymeasuresareadequatetomaintainsafeworkingonthesite.
c.Inspectallthesiteactivitiesandtrainthepersontopreventaccidentsanditsproperimplementation.
d.Ensurethatthesiteismaintainedcleanandtidy.
