Study Objectives
1. Identify potential relocation options for the three existing
stations and potential location options for the new Rio
Hondo station; and related benefits and challenges
2. Identify opportunities to:
Maximize rail to bus connectivity
Improve active transportation connections to existing
and planned developments
Improve transportation connectivity
Improve First Last Mile amenities
Develop Transit Oriented Communities and other land
use improvements

Initial Evaluation

Potential station locations were initially identified and


screened down to one representative alternative for further
and more detailed analysis
The initial analysis evaluated the station options on a
qualitative level using 9 evaluation criteria
The evaluation criteria are weighted and were rated as:

Why Relocate the Station?

The Citadel and the Commerce Resort are expanding, and are expected
to draw 40% more visitors each year. This increase cannot be
accommodated by private automobile travel alone, hence the need and
opportunity for a multi-modal hub near these developments.
