Friendship Folders
Please pass the Friendship Folders, for prayer requests and
praise reports and please also register your attendance. If
there is no one sitting at the end of an aisle, please make sure
the folder gets passed.
Canyon Fellowship Elder Training
Canyon Fellowship Elder Training. Next 11 Mondays and
Wednesdays at Canyon PV. Training will start Monday May
8th and run through June 14th from 6:30-8:30 p.m. These
trainings are open for every man. You do not have to be there
for each one, come as you are able.
Music Ministry
The music ministry meeting has been postponed and will take
place Sunday 5/21 after worship service.
Short Term Mission Trips
Dates for the upcoming short term mission trips to Nicaragua
are August 19th-26th to Matagalpa & Chinandega and
October 7th-16th to Managua & Ometepe. For more

 Monday
Read Ephesians 1:3-14 and give thanks to each member of
the trinity for their role in your salvation.
Tuesday
Read 2 Corinthians 1. In the first several verses the Apostle
Paul speaks of God as being the Father of mercies and God
of all comfort, (v. 3). Comfort is the overall disposition that
comes from resting in Gods sovereignty and loving rule as
manifested in Christs lordship. God is the ultimate source
of every true act of comfort. Pray and thank the Lord for the
comfort that comes from Him, His sovereignty, and knowing
that He is the Father of mercies and God of all comfort.
Wednesday
Read 2 Corinthians 2. Of verses 5-11 John MacArthur
writes: This passage is one of the best texts in all
Scripture on the godly motivation and rationale for
forgiveness. Pray for a heart that is like that of the
Apostle Paul whose own example was like Christs. Pray
for a heart that extends forgiveness and mercy and
comfort to others.
Thursday
Read 2 Corinthians 3. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and
where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom (v. 17).
The Lord of the Old Testament is the same Lord that
saves in the New testament. This is accomplished through
the work of the Holy Spirit. Because of salvation, the
believer is free from sin and the law as a means of earning
righteousness. The believer is free from the bondage of
the law and Satans dominion. Pray and praise the Lord
for the freedom that is in Christ through the working of the
Holy Spirit.
