TEBAN - manservant of Kulas and Ceiling

This play is a comedy that comments on peoples weakness in a

situation recognizable throughout the country. Its main character was
a sabungero or cockfighter who was addicted to cockfight. This play
tells about how he learns and realizes his foolishness of gambling.

Kulas a great envious to the cock and was just
cockfighter, always had thinking that if the money that Kulas
an argument with his was spending in the cockpit arena, it
wife Ceiling regarding would be more useful if they buy it
his cockfighting vices. Ceiling got with food.

ne day, Kulas was begging for 10 pesos
because he dreamt that he was being
chased by a white carabao.
He said,The white carabao means

Before Ceiling forgot,she called Teban
and told him what to do and gave him
5 pesos. In case that Kulas lost the
money in the arena she made sure
that they lost nothing because she
bet on the opponents of Kulas.
The match was over. Teban came back
home and said, We won maam! We
won!. Kulas went home with a
crestfallen on his face.
Sioning and Ceiling left the house to
buy some foods in the market.
Castor came to see Kulas. Kulas told
Castor everything happened to the
cockfight lately. Castor listened and
told Kulas about his cheat plan in

The idea of Castor was betting to the
