ABOUT THE

Arboretum
The Donald E. Davis Arboretum is a
13.5-acre living museum and botanical
garden located at the heart of Auburn
Universitys campus.
The Davis Arboretum was dedicated on
June 15, 1977.
The garden includes a 150-year-old Post
Oak, which was only 6 years old when SELF-GUIDED

walking tour
the university was established.
Of the 40 native oak species in the state
of Alabama, 39 are represented in the
Davis Arboretum. The Donald E. Davis Arboretum is
located at 181 Garden Drive.
In total, the garden has 263 species
of trees and shrubs, more than 1,000 MAILING ADDRESS:
azaleas, and 11 pitcher plant species that Auburn University
