Isnt it fascinating how life can surprise you with catastrophic situations, but when you're

health is at risk, you do nothing about it despite the fact you know it is a problem? Health can

impact your life for the worse because of the lack of preparation. Health is important for humans

because it can prevent heart failures and body risks. People who watch their body have

discipline, leadership, and display perseverance. Keeping tabs on your health is a big part of the

decision making for improving your health status. People can maintain a healthy life by

staying active, eating properly and striving for a positive mental attitude.

Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is hard enough with all the bad in this world. Staying

active is one of the keys to a healthy life and a long life. The 10,000 step a day program is not

enough for some who are overweight. Walking 10,000 steps a day will not be enough. The

intensity in physical activity is needed to reach the goal set. Physical activity consists of cardio

and any bodily movement that requires energy. Weight training is also beneficial for those who

are at risk of diseases. For example a common disease around the world is Diabetes. an

estimated 422 million people had diabetes worldwide (Weight loss technology). Life

threatening problems can become worse after a period of time if the person neglects the

problems. When Diabetes is very common in the United States as well as obesity. Fast food and

restaurants are places where families and friends go to eat and enjoy time together. It is also a

place where people like to go constantly and not be home making food that is healthier. Staying

active will not only prevent problems from building, but can also increase life-span. Curing

diseases start and end with preparation and goal setting.

Eating healthy foods is one of the hardest steps to follow because people have trouble

building endurance mentally. This starts when young people are exploring food options and

healthy choices. At first, when people start off eating healthier they come across challenges and

failures. A positive mindset and willingness to embrace success as well as failure will pay

dividends (Stokoe and Burke). Success starts with dedication, and a person decides what the

outcome will be. Having self motivation is just as important as following a diet plan. Learning

from failures will be helpful to continue progressing and making better decisions. Telling

themselves not to eat a food that is bad in the long run although the food is good at the moment

is useful information on planning a healthy diet and handling dining situations away from

home (Burner). A healthy diet consists of the correct portion of food choice. Having the same

portion of greens, chicken, and rice could be a good combination for a food serving. Chicken is a

good source of protein and increases muscle mass when weight lifting. Rice can help build

carbohydrates which is the energy source of the body. Green examples could be broccoli, peas,

spinach, and etc. Greens (vegetables) are good for calcium and also supplies folate and

potassium. Setting a diet plan and keeping track of what is being consumed is important in order

to have constant progress. A weight loss plan that can help people stay in control of their eating

habits while teaching them how to eat smarter portions(Weight Watchers). Some examples of

diet planning could be controlling eating habits and just eat a full meal. Not eating something of

small portion every hour or so (snacks).

Having a positive mindset plays a huge part, not only dealing with weight loss but any

circumstance a person goes through. Having a positive mental attitude can make a person have

self motivation to follow the daily routine. And so this will create the lasting habits and positive

mindset needed to lose weight and keep it off (Weight loss program). Maintaining weight is

important as much as staying motivated to keep improving and progressing. Make habits last

permanent as well as building a positive outlook for any situation a person is put in. A positive

mental attitude can help prevent others from having trouble with similar problems. Weight has

been a factor that people choose to ignore by ignoring the obvious early on, but refusing to solve

the problem. Acknowledging there is a problem to begin with is crucial to continue losing weight

continuously.

In conclusion, people can maintain a healthy life by staying active, eating properly and

striving for a positive mental attitude. These concepts can be followed and conquered by

everyone who struggles with weight. Striving to live a longer life by taking care of the body, and

keeping tabs on what it consumes. At a young age, teenagers can start to be responsible and

watch their bodies and especially by not neglecting any life threatening diseases that can be hard

to cure later in life.
