Boldt Castle Will Reopen Saturday May 13th

Boldt Castle on Heart Island will reopen on Saturday May 13th with normal operating hours from
10am 6:30pm and will remain open throughout its operating season until Sunday October 15th.
Boldt Castle was forced to close at the end of the day last Saturday due to the continual rise of
water levels on the St. Lawrence River.

Although high water levels still remain reducing operations at the Boldt Facilities keeping the
Boldt Yacht House on Wellesley Island closed, the Power House on Heart Island closed along
with all other dockside facilities closed, Boldt Castle, the Alster Tower and the Heart Island
grounds will be open to the touring public.

The week long closing provided the Thousand Islands Bridge Authority, owners of historic Boldt
Castle and the Boldt Yacht House time to access its ability to safely reopen this weekend.
Construction of a large safety platform to receive visitors arriving to the Boldt Castle docks has
been completed allowing local tour boat operators to land at the Heart Island docks.

Note: Canadian cruise line and small boat inspections at Heart Island have been suspended by
U.S. Customs and Border Protection until high water levels recede and power is restored to the
inspection site.
