The Report
Introduction
The problem that has been very common over the past years is the way that social
media/technology has been affecting humans. We have become addicted to our cell phones in
such a big way that without any phones/technology we practically wouldnt know to act. There
have been hundreds of studies showing us evidence that this really is a world-wide problem. We
have reports of people becoming depressed because of social media and even going up to the
extreme where people get cyber bullied so much they unfortunately take their own life.
Addiction is also a major problem, and this addiction can be as badly as a drug or alcohol
addiction.
Purpose
Now a day there is tons of new social media pages like Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat,
YouTube. ETC All you need to create a profile is simply an email & password, making it
extremely easy for people to create fake accounts, and the problem to this issue is that people
make fake accounts with fake names and people never know who really is behind the screen.
There is also the cause where people become so obsessed with likes and how many people
viewed their pictures. When they start seeing that people have not interested on what they had
posted they become mad or sad, thinking they couldve done a better job. It is very import to see
how important this issue is, and actually start doing something about it. There needs to be more
Audience
The main audience for this topic really goes out to everyone, this is a problem that
affects everyone and that we all need to be informed about. Parents need to start being aware of
The Report
the problems that social media has on teens and start being stricter with their own kids, but just
because you become strict doesnt necessarily mean parents can just disrespect their kids
privacy. They need to start looking for signs that can indicate problems. Kids also need to be
aware of who they communicate with in social media and who they decide to accept as a friend.
If they see any sign of cyberbullying or they start to feel like there is no one they can talk to, we
need to keep reminding them that there is always someone there, family, teacher and friends, no
Stance
We all have different opinions and we think differently, but when talking about this topic
everyone had the same opinion. They all agreed that this is an issue that needs to be heard more
world wide. Even if it is a topic that people think they already know the answer too, its still not
enough, yes we are informing people about the issue but we arent persuading them to take
action and do something about it. We need to let them know it is okay to need help and seek out
for it.
Visual/Medium
We need to make a difference as community and really inform people out there, there is
plenty of information and studies even resources to really help our friends and family. We need
to be able to really show them the issue and put them in the situation of what would happen if
this was them in that situation. The authors way of informing us was very well they showed us
the facts but were still able to reach out to us in an emotional way so that we could all connect to
the issue. The people reading about this problem can really start thinking what if this was my
child going through this? what if this is happening to my child at this very moment and I am not

even aware of it? We get to see their point of view what they went through and get to apply it to
Conclusion
In conclusion the authors really did a great job in informing us about the problem in hand
they were able to use a genre that anyone couldve understand. The articles really showed us
information about not just the general problem with technology/social media but more of the
deeper problems that we arent really aware about. The purpose was made very clear with all of
their studies, and the facts about what is going on in a teens life. All three Ethos, Pathos and
Logos were really applied in a very well way. Overall the articles were very good, very well
formatted, we see all three of this concepts through out the articles and we get a sense of what
