Executive Order No. 27, s.2013

CREATING THE LOCAL COUNCIL FOR CULTURE AND THE ARTS (LCCA)
ITS COMPOSITION AND FUNCTIONS IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF JAGNA.

WHEREAS, history and culture are essential dimensions of human existence because
in every group or nation, there is an ever increasing number of men and women who
have become artisans and authors of the culture of their own community;

WHEREAS, the Municipality of Jagna which was formally established in September

1631 by the zealous Christian missionaries has grown into what it is now by way of
combined sense of autonomy and responsibility of the early settlers;

WHEREAS, such cultural development for three hundred eighty-two (382) years needs
to be sustained and be enriched as it clearly contributes to the progress of Jagna
through talents, insights and values of the Jagnaanons;

WHEREAS, under Book III. Title 2.Chapter 2. Article 3, Section 447-XVII of the Local
Government Code of 1991, the Local Chief Executive shall establish a Municipal
Council whose purpose is the promotion of culture and arts;

NOW, THEREFORE, I FORTUNATO R. ABRENILLA by virtue of the authority vested

in me by law as Mayor of the Municipality of Jagna do hereby order the following:

Section 1: Creation There is hereby created a Local Council for Culture and the Arts
(LCCA) in the Municipality of Jagna.

Section 2: Functions The Local Council for Culture and the Arts shall have the
following functions:

a. Formulate policies and plans for the enrichment and sustainability of

Jagnas unique cultural heritage;
b. Create necessary committees for the annual Foundation Day and town Fiesta
of Jagna;
c. Shall serve as vehicle in the cultivation of the talents and skills especially of
the youth;
d. Conduct meetings in order to ensure the success of every relevant activity;
Submit assessment reports on the status of every related activity.

Section 3: Composition The Local Council for Culture and the Arts (LCCA) shall be
composed of the following:

Section 5.Effectivity This order shall take effect immediately.
