PROJECT PROPOSAL

I. PROJECT TITLE : REVISED AWARDS SYSTEM FOR


TEACHERS
( Effective 2nd Grading, S/Y 2015-2016 )

II. PROJECT PROPONENT: ARCELI N. MARAVILLA

III. RATIONALE:

After formulation of the project proposal, a thorough consultation with the


teachers had been done, the school had implemented the award system for
teachers for the S/Y 2015-2016. The principal as well as the teachers will assessed
their strength in terms of their classroom management, psychosocial and physical
attributes, interpersonal relationship, punctuality and attendance. This will serve as
motivation to work harder and give their best to prove themselves that they can
qualify for the Model Teachers Award for every school year. The proponent
had made a revision on the award system for teachers. This project will help the
principal and teachers to identify the strengths and needs of the school services.
The component of the aquestionnaire has three kinds; First, the students
questionnaire, it was written in Filipino so that students can fully understand the
question. It will be composed of; A. Klasrum Maneysment; B. Sikolohikal at pisikal na
katangian at pakikipag- ugnayang sosyal; C. Puntualidad at atendans. Second, is
the co-teachers questionnaire, it will assess the relationship with co- teachers
according to their rank, from one to five, 1 as the first and 5 as the last choice.
Finally, is the principal questionnaire, it had been formulated to helped assess
teachers performance.
After gathering all the data from the answers made by the respondents, the
teachers who will receive the award will be called as Model Teachers for a
particular grading period of the school year and be qualified to become an
Outstanding Teacher in celebration for the Teachers Day . The Office will be
the one to give the certificate for the top ten model teachers for the said grading
period. Aside from the certificates from the office of the principal, the PTA or other
stakeholders will fund for the additional awards for the chosen ten model teachers
which may be in cash or in kind to be determined by way of PTA resolution. These
awards that will be given both by the office, PTA or stakeholders can inspired
teachers to improve more their performance although they were motivated not
merely because of the rewards ( cash or in kind ) they will receive but what matters
most is, they were recognized for the job well done.

IV. OBJECTIVE:

a. Boost the morale of teachers


b. Improve teachers performance
c. Assess teachers strength and needs
d-. Acquire inner self- assessment for positive imaging and self- motivation

V. PROCEDURE MECHANICS:

a. Consultation meeting of the proponent with the principal regarding the


project proposal b. Preparation of survey questionnaire to students, co-teachers
and the administration
c. Formulation of the questionnaire composed of three parts;
I. Students Rating or Marka ng Mag-aaral 50%
II. Co- teachers Rating 30 %
III. Principal Rating 20 %
TOTAL 100%

d. Modification of the award system for teachers. There will be ten (10)
instead of five (5 ) students per section will be served as the respondents .
e. Computation and summary of result
f. Awarding on 2nd quarter 4th quarter of school year for the top 10 Model
Teachers

School Year 2015-2016 and Onwards

VII. VENUE: Carolina National High School

VIII. RESPONDENTS:
Principal, Teachers and ten students from each section ( Grade 7 10 )

IX.MATERIALS: Questionnaire

X. IMPLEMENTING COMMITTEE:

The committee will organize the members who are responsible for the
preparation of tools, tallying, summarizing and monitor the teachers rating under
the supervision of the principal. The committee include the following;

1. Principal - Chairman
2. (2) Students - Members
a. SSG President
b. SSG Officers ( to be designated by the SSG President
3. PTA President
4. Office Clerk
5. Parent ( to be designated by the PTA President)
