DEUCALION AND PYRRHA

Nowadays, the version of the story of Deucalion and Phyrrha is Noah's Ark. Since most of people made

the bible nowadays as their reference from the ancient times. So, the Greeks made their own version

aiming for change and to cleanse the old world. Since the time Pandora disobey and opened the

impermissible box, all the negativity on the world seems to exist that made all people greedy and have

bad morality. They even care less about the Gods and doesn't honor them with sacrifices that made all

of the Gods hated people. And with that, Zeus destroy all the human race. On the other hand, Deucalion

was the opposite and known for the rightful character. He was the son of Prometheus. Prometheus told

his son, Deucalion that there was a great flood that would destroy everything on the world including

people. And because of the prophecy, Deucalion together with his wife, Pyrrha they made a boat

making themselves ready when the catastrophe came. When the flood came, Deucalion and his wife

get into their boat as fast as they could as the flood pushed them away. After the flood stopped, the boat

landed in a dry land at Mount Parnassos near the area of Delphi. There they saw the destruction and

weep. Hermes suddenly appeared and told them a message saying to throw the bones of their mother

over their shoulders at first, they dont get what hermes said until they found out what he meant by

that. In the end, all the stones that they gather and throw it without turning their heads that hit the earth

and fill it with humans again with good features and personality. Deucalion became the King and

Pyrrha as their Queen.

 DEADALUS AND ICARUS

The story of Daedalus and Icarus is one of the most known Greek Myths. Daedalus was the legendary

builder who made wings that made him and his son Icarus escape from imprisonment. Icarus was the

son of Daedalus and Nafsicrate. Since he and his son were imprisoned made him think how they

would escape the maze or Labyrinth. Daedalus made the Labyrinth and since he has conflict with

King Minos, they said he used to imprison his enemies inside and make sure they would be killed by

the monster. King Minos was betrayed so he imprison the two in Labyrinth. Since Daedalus knew that

the maze that he made was too complicated and well guarded he decided to create gigantic wings. He

teach his son to fly and warned him to keep away from the sun because the materials used for wings is

the branches of osier and wax and will cause the wax to melt. Then, they successfully escaped the

Labyrinth but Icarus get too excited about flying forgot to keep away from the sun and soon saw his

wings melting. He fall into the sea and died. Then, the sea was named after Icarus and was called

Icaria.

PYGMALION AND GALATEA

The story of Pygmalion and Galatea was one of the most inspiring Greek Myths. So, after he loathes

local prostitutes and avoided the company of women, Pygmalion became a sculptor. He created Galatea

a beautiful woman made out of ivory. Since he was so dedicated in his work he soon sculp a beautiful

woman that have ever carved in a stone and made him fall inlove with it. He treats the statue as if its

real and cares for it just like a precious woman. He give gifts how a ladies would really appreciate, he

talks to it everyday, kisses it, caresses it and he would even dress Galatea the statue. Aphrodite pity

Pgymalion with such passion. Then, Aphrodite gave life to Galatea and wasnt a statue anymore.

Pygmalion still cant believe that Galetea was now real. He thanked Aphrodite and humble himself.

Then, Galatea soon gave birth to Paphos and was now a city in Cyprus. Till the end they still thanked

Aphrodite, the goddess of Love.
