Is Social Media Good for Society

This means of communication has become very widespread in this

cosmopolitan world, without distinction of time, sex, profession, faith, race or

social class. If it is nondiscrimination, any person who exceeds the age limit

preset by the policies of the organization, can join and generate profile

without any restriction. There are issues relating to everyday life and its

social influence: the history of every user on the network is visible. That will

obviously depend on the permissions that are managed by the person who

creates the profile, the contacts who accept the privacy settings, or security

which implements when creating passwords, but inevitably the information

can seep easily on the web world, being attacked by a cybercriminal, or just

an innocent, neglected or entrusted of own user action. Social media are

websites that groups the people, connect them with variety of relations to

communicate and share information (Kietzmann, Jan H., et al.).

This situation has had some consequences: on the one hand, more and

more voices are calling for regulation and stricter monitoring of the media;

material considered undesirable for them. Social networking has often

resulted in depression, syndrome of attention deficit with hyperactivity,

insomnia, and decrease in total hours of sleep, decrease in academic

performance, repetition and dropout. It has also been associated with a wide

range of psychosocial problems (Shade). Freedom of expression on the

internet, is a controversial point: is at odds with privacy, protection of

personal data, and intellectual property rights. I think that the solution is to

resort to social, and balanced legislation fundamentally: a right ends where

begins the neighbor's. The established constitutional principles must be

respected. Studies have found fault in the decision-making process in those

addicted to online games. Teens playing excessively have less ability to

process feedback. It has been, in addition, failures in processes of learning in

relation to the development of personality, have been more serious

personality, greater is the risk of addiction. The Borderline personality

disorder increases the risk of cyber addiction (O'Keeffe and Clarke-Pearson).

Every day the use of social networks becomes more common. Comment and

share stuff on Facebook, check news and comment on Twitter, and upload

photos to Instagram are part of the routine. Viable relations have been

changed to the cybernetic, the birthday cards that were gotten via mail, now,

are gotten by email and the welcome are sent to the social site

The social media contribute to a great extent to settle the methods for

considering society; to set the plan for the political, social and financial

issues are talked about; to make or annihilate the notoriety of an association,

individual or gathering of persons; They give data and components to the

individual or open form, contemplate and frame their feelings. They are

frequently middle people in the middle of society and political force. They are

a force in light of the fact that they have the instruments and components

that give them the likelihood of forcing; that condition or may condition the

conduct of different forces, associations or people paying little respect to

their will and their resistance (Etter, Ravasi and Colleoni). Through the Social

media, people can communicate more easily with each other, without having

to identify yourself as children, male or female. And, not surprisingly, privacy

and anonymity of the social media, especially facilitate the dissemination

and sale of unsuitable material relevant to age. The social media are now a

force of liberation; the media is creating a new one that is more open, more

democratic and more aware from the social point of view. The modern

conception of childhood was a creation of the print media; however, social

media are destroying it. One of the potential dangers of social media is the

rapid dissemination of erroneous information during a crisis or a legal

investigation. The information travels quickly, is not a substitute for an

inquiry and a proper report and is prone to speculation and the error (Aula).

In addition, social differences and distinctive social universes

youngsters firmly identified with the diverse examples of life and association

with the media. The importance of home, neighborhood life, the relationship

between the genders and eras, the idea of time, for instance, happen in

diverse courses in the lives of youngsters. The broad communications are no

more outsider to youthful and have joined school individual encounters,

family, and have been a piece of their amiability and have likewise changed

the methods of recognition (Curtis, et al.).

Social media is not all bad. The good news is that they are here to stay,

therefore, make an effort so that children learn to use social networks in a

positive way. Social networks have become a means of common

communication between adolescents and adults. These sites promote and

allow people to exchange personal information, share photos, videos, blogs

and instant messages used to communicate. The social media is a capable

device of socialization, significantly even more, intense than family, school or

work, because they are the emotions and convictions, prepare the faculties

and shape the social creative ability. Today we are in the media acclaim from

youngsters to grown-ups, and shockingly is not generally a decent propensity

in light of the fact that numerous individuals do not utilize yet it contrarily

impacts are for them (Qualman).

On many occasions, social media breaks headlines of the day faster

than electronic media because someone in the surroundings has shared it on

your social networks. This information that is spread, which appears in our

timeline or wall, is one of the great advantages of social Media (Newman). It

is not necessary from an apocalyptic apparition to evaluate the impaqcts of

social media on modern society, but sufficient to be realistic. The social

media effect than any time in recent reminiscence, on the training of new

eras, forming discriminations and patterns openly of all ages and prepare the

plan of subjects. What once could be a fractional truth today, has the tone of

a straightforward truth; the broad communications have turned out to be

floating in the social development, the way in which the individual identifies

with the world and with their companions, in the day-by-day tasks of work

and creation, and even in private life consistently. The beneficial outcomes of

social media are found in expansive numbers. Many individuals have met the

adoration for life through these. Thousands have discovered help in social

media platforms. The experts, who were obscure, been known crosswise over

informal organizations. There are individuals who do not envision, tell their

encounters through the social media, want to appreciate some achievement

and discuss in front of individuals. However, life is changing and with it, there

is still to know how to adapt. As in all things, only it should be in a

responsible way for development of society.
