Production Method
Part A:
Heat to approx. 80C to dissolve the solid ingredients. Disperse Carbopol and Keltrol evenly with high shear
stirring (Ultra Turrax).
Part B:
Weigh the ingredients of phase B. Add phase B to phase A without stirring, emulsify using an Ultra-Turrax
stirrer (30 sec).
Part C:
Add immediately phase C while emulsifying (another 1,5 min). Stir for 1/2h after emulsifying.

The pH value of the finished product should be approx. 6.5 and has to be checked.

*The SPF 15 was determined on a six-subject panel test based on the recommendation of the COLIPA
TASK FORCE "Sun Protection Measurement" (February 2003).

The product should be labelled SPF 15 (Colipa Recommendation No. 11 - SPF Classification / upper limlt,
COLIPA, June 2002)

**Water-Resistance:
An SPF of 9 was found after immersion using the method described by K. and A. Schrader: Akt. Dermatol.
20, 130-134, 1994.
