PERSONAL PROFILE

I am a 16-year-old who is currently studying at Huddersfield New College. I am a hard working

individual, who can use multiple different computer applications such as Adobe Photoshop and
Illustrator and who has good team working skills. I am hoping to secure a placement at university in
games design and then eventually a career. I am a kind individual who will help others to the best of my
ability. I am punctual and have a great attendance record. I am a carer for my dad who had a stroke in
2012. Since then I have had to be looking after him when my mum cannot. We always have to be on
the lookout for things that he can and cannot get over in his mobility scooter so that he does not fall
over and injure himself.

HOBBIES AND INTERESTS

I enjoy art and have a passion for drawing cartoon characters. With these characters, I enjoy creating
worlds and storylines with these characters in them. I get my inspiration for these characters form: TV
and film, music, other games, and some from mythology (e.g. Greek). I enjoy experimenting with
software packages and enjoy editing images on computer applications such as Adobe Photoshop. These
are the applications in which I colour in the characters I draw. I thoroughly enjoy this because it allows
me to be creative and if I make a mistake or do not like the colour scheme, I can change it easily. I
enjoy playing video games on my own or online with friends. I am willing to play almost anything but I
do have my favorites like Borderlands 2 or the Tomb Raider reboots. I also do karate once a week; I am
a second dan black belt and have been going since I was seven. I am currently in the adult class
because I was not getting the right amount of exercise in my old class. I have been going to this class
for just over a year now and I do not regret my decision to move up.

J OB RE SPO N SI BI LI TI ES: I had to create: Logos, business cards, websites, and page headers for
companies or small business that had hired RedBak to create graphics for them. These were done on
Adobe Illustrator and whilst I was there I learnt more about the application which further increased my
skills in Adobe applications. On one occasion, I was allowed to help someone take photographs of
packages. We used a light box to get rid of all shadows from the image and then used a high quality
camera to take the images. These images were then altered using Photoshop and then later used on a
companys website. I also had a task to use Photoshop to alter an image with some assistance from a
Photoshop expert. This further increased my skills in Adobe Photoshop and I thoroughly enjoyed
creating the piece.
