Abstract

Attractive backgrounds to any graphics, banners or ads are relatively important. Getting the
correct theme, whether its an abstract art, vector, or texture pattern, it somehow makes the
entire artwork looks more interesting. Some might not have noticed the great roles
background images have played. For instance, for mites uses cool design background before
messages in their forum signatures; some product graphic advertisements uses light subtle
background to help create focus point, your website and desktop need nice backdrops too.
Sometimes when I get a little limited by the amount of content I can insert onto an ad design,
Ill paint a light background behind it so the entire creative dont look so empty. Here is

Introduction

The software provides many image editing features for raster (pixel-based) images as well
as vector graphics. It uses a layer-based editing system that enables image creation and
altering with multiple overlays that support transparency. Layers can also act as masks or
filters, altering underlying colours. Shadows and other effects can be added to the layers.
Photoshop actions include automation features to reduce the need for repetitive tasks. An
option known as Photoshop CC (Creative Cloud) allows users to work on content from any
computer.

Photoshop been the industry standard image manipulation program for so long that its name
has become a verb: It is common parlance to say that an image has been photo shopped or
even just shopped." Shopped, in this context, is synonymous with edited, manipulated or
faked often regardless of the software actually used.

Photoshop is used by photographers, graphic designers, video game artists, advertising and
meme designers.

3. To create graphics for website layouts.
4. To create entire web pages.
5. To enhance learning process
Advantages

Although Photoshop has an intimidating layout to new users, it actually is much easier to
work with than competing programs, which can be inconsistent. Each of the windows that
display information or provide function can be opened from a single menu, resized and
relocated for personal preferences. Most importantly, the interface isn't overly simple. Some
programs make a mistake by not providing enough options, which can become frustrating
because it ultimately reduces your productivity. Photoshop strikes a balance by having
several automatic functions, while still providing manual access. Photoshop is High-Tech
Coding. The programming experts at Adobe are skilled at reducing a visual element into data
that computers can manipulate. This results in a higher-quality result when it comes to color
correction, resizing, HDR imaging and so on. Programs by less capable companies might
excel in a specific area, but Photoshop usually creates the best products for a majority of the
processing effects.

Photoshop can do nearly anything regarding online media. Although it started out as a photo
processing program, it has evolved to create and edit video, create 3-D images and facilitate
graphic design. Many users don't use a majority of the program simply because they aren't
working in that specific field. Adobe has begun offering simpler products, such as Photoshop
Elements, for users who don't want all the extra features. Adobe photoshop is Adobe Creative
Suite. Almost all of the files created by an Adobe product are transferable between the
different programs in its Creative Suite. This means that a graphic can be created in Adobe
Illustrator, added to a photo in Photoshop, sent to Adobe Premiere to add in a video and then
sent to After Effects for post processing without trouble or loss quality. Files created or
opened in other programs might need to be converted to a higher compression file, such as a
JPEG, which reduces the quality of the finished product. As Community Support, because of
the popularity of the program, an enormous amount of free education and support is available
online. Many websites specialize in creating tutorials to teach you how to do specific tasks,
such as creating a spaceship or airbrushing. The sheer number of people using the product
ensures you are not the only one with an issue or looking for a specific technique.
Disadvantages
Adobe Photoshop is relatively simple to use but it is not a program designed for the
beginners. It is primarily a photo-editing program for the professionals that plan on editing
many photos on a regular basis. There are many different tools that do very different things
so, you will take long time to learn how to use each one correctly .
Adobe Photoshop is not free. It is proprietary software, meaning its source code is a secret.
Source code is the code in which any computer program is written by the human
programmers.
Adobe Photoshop is relatively expensive. When compared with other photo-editing software.
It has so many features and it is thus regarded as the industry standard in the graphic
designing. You will spend much more for Adobe Photoshop. If you do not plan on editing the
photos every day.
Most beginners will not begin to touch the functionality of this program and they could get
what they need from another program. Many people who are unfamiliar with editing the
photos in Adobe Photoshop, The advanced functionality will be useless for them.
There are many free and lower cost graphics and photo editors. They are available for the
casual users and the enthusiasts who do not need all of the powerful features Photoshop
offers.
Adobe Photoshop requires a well-equipped computer , It is aheavyweight program , and
many of the tools are computationally intensive , It takes up a large space of room on your
computer as well as RAM memory.
Steps in using Photoshop

These three tools provide you with essential information about your image or photograph.
The Histogram will tell you everything you need to know about the exposure of the
photograph, whether it is under or over exposed, and the tonal range. The Eyedropper tool
will give you valuable information about the colours in the image; especially if there is a
colour cast (a colour cast is an undesirable overall dominant colour) you need to correct. The
Info palette (or window) will provide numerical feedback when using the eyedropper and
also when using other tools. This is an important reference for advanced work so is worth
getting to know at the start.

Learning to use the Ruler tool will allow you to determine precisely the angle of a tilted
horizon and this can then be used with the rotate canvas command to rapidly correct a tilted
image.

Cropping is the process of removing anything from around the edges of a photo that does not
add to the impact of the photo. The Crop tool should be learned next since cropping is a very
important creative process. There are very few photos that cannot benefit from being
cropped. Too many Photoshop beginners just accept the content of the photo as it came from
the camera without thinking about whether the picture can be improved visually by cutting
away unnecessary edges. The additional benefit of cropping the picture early is that you also
reduce the file size which makes further changes to the image run much faster since you are
using less memory and disk space.

Even with modern sensor cleaning built-in, you may find your image contains dust marks or
other blemishes. These will often be seen in areas of smooth tone such as a clear sky. These
should be removed using the Healing Brush tool, especially useful on smooth colour and
tones like skies, and the Clone Stamp tool. The Clone Stamp tool is essential for removing or
correcting areas of detail which the Healing Brush tool quite often just messes up. Get a grip
on these two important tools quickly so you can really clean up your important images.

The next logical step is to correct any exposure problems or tonal range issues. If the picture
is too dark or light now is the time to correct it. To do tonal corrections you need to learn to
use the Levels command. The levels command uses a histogram to show the tones so your
previous learning from Step 1 above will really help you now. I told you it was a logical
learning sequence!

Although modern cameras make a reasonable job of interpreting the colour of light reaching
the sensor, they also often get it wrong which results in a photo with an obvious dominant
colour. This is known as a colour cast and needs to be removed using the Colour Balance
command. Once a dominant colour has been corrected you are ready to make more creative
colour enhancements if desired.

There you have the six most important things for a Photoshop beginner to learn. Each of
these steps can be mastered quite quickly and the knowledge gained will provide a solid
foundation for all your future Photoshop work; whether you just want to improve a family
snap or produce an advanced special effects work of art.
