Introduction:

In this assignment, I am going to be writing about two assignments that I

have previously worked on, as well as other documents that I have
recently created.

Below is a list of sub-headings that I am going to write about:

Negotiating the brief: x2
Consulting with clients (link to initial client meetings and client
liaison diary)
Amendments/edits to proposed final products/ finished products
(from diary)
Feedback from peers/questionnaires
Legal and ethical considerations and codes of practice
Opportunities: x2
Identify opportunities for self-development (evaluations)
Skills:

New skills (Employer expectations review)

Negotiating the brief: x2

Consulting with clients (link to initial client meetings and client

liaison diary):

(As I have not used a client meeting or liaison in either unit, 32 or 72 I am

going to use other examples throughout my work where I have used
these.)
The image to the right is from Unit 32 assignment 3 as I have created two
client liaisons during this assignment.
The four images below show the four pages that I have created for the
client liaisons.

Unit 5 assignment 2 Ciaran Morton

The images
above show the
noted I wrote out for two separate
client liaisons that I had in Unit 32 assignment 3. This shows
that I have used client liaisons before and have kept the notes on them.

The image to the right shows the client meeting from unit
54 assignment two; this shows the client meeting that I
had. This shows that I kept the notes on the meeting.
The images to the right show the two pages of client
meeting notes that I took in Unit 54 assignment 2. This
shows that I have had client meetings and liaisons
throughout the course around assignment one or two of
several different units. This is so that I can confirm
storyboards/dope sheets/ideas with clients before making
the product. An example of this is the client meeting notes to the right
after I pitched my ideas for the Pixels, as I had to create the bands logo,
poster and cd cover. The client meeting notes were taken before pitching
the idea as these tell me what the band wanted. After this is created
storyboards and dope sheets.
Similar to this, I have used milestones in a couple of different assignment,
this is shown below as I have taken screen shots of the two milestone
reviews that I have done in Unit 32 assignment 4.
The images to the left show the two mile
stone reviews that I had with the client,
these are very similar to liaisons and
meetings as I met with the client in both
of these to show what I had done so far
and what the client wanted to change or
what the client liked so far.

Amendments/edits to proposed final products/ finished products

(from diary):

One of the most obvious amendments/changes throughout my

projects is the logo I created in Unit 54 assignment two; the
image to the right shows the blank logo (without colour).

The image to the right shows that I started colouring in

the logo with variations of grey; light grey, black and
transparent. At first I thought this would make the logo
look better.

The image to the right shows the logo fully coloured in, this shows
the fully coloured logo and the text next to this image states,
After doing this I think colouring it in fully would be better. This
shows that after colouring it in I decided to change/alter the plans
and decided to fully colour the logo a solid colour.

Unit 5 assignment 2 Ciaran Morton

The image above shows the quote that I pulled from Unit 54
assignment 2. This shows that I changed plans during
creating the logo. The image to the right shows the fully
coloured logo.
This shows that fully colouring the logo was a lot better than
keeping it varied on colour; this also shows that the logo is a
lot more prominent and easier to see.

Another example of changing plans is also found in Unit 54

assignment 2 as I originally intended to use the image to the
right as a guide. I documented earlier in the diary how I came
up with measurements to add an even boarder and space for
all assets on the poster. The 16-bit image of Batman was
going to be used as a template for the character that I had
drawn on the storyboard for the poster.
I started this template by tracing the outline of
the image and adding detail to it (image to the
left.)
The image to the left shows that I traced and coloured on the
top of the character. However. After reaching this stage I
decided to change the template to better suit the storyboards.

The image to the right shows that I deleted sections of the

template to better suit my design. The image to the right
shows that I deleted sections of the arms and torso to
create gaps under the arms as the character I designed had
thin arms that stretched out, this was also to show that
these were arms and that they were not attached to the
torso.
Then after this, I coloured the rest of the template
in and deleted the template out from underneath
the top layer that I created (image to the left.)

To conclude, the images above show that I have had to change

and alter plans throughout the units; this is due to technical

difficulties and preferences. The example I have shown is a preference

change as I first thought the logo would look good in different shades but
right after finishing I found it looked bad so I changed the plans and filled
it in.

Feedback from peers/questionnaires:

The main way I received feedback throughout these assignments was by

either proposals or questionnaires. As I have not done these in either unit,
32 assignment 2 or unit 72 assignment 2 I am going to pull examples from
other assignments.

The images below show the proposal that I created in Unit 32 assignment
3, this shows that I created a proposal for the
